You caught me before I fixed it, but yeah, about that much. It's not people having fun singing that I hate, it's the subculture. I imagine that it might be more fun in Japan.vurt wrote: Sun Apr 24, 2022 12:31 am karaoke. you hate it so much, you won't even spell it correctly!

i don't think it's really been much of a thing here since the 80s?ghettosynth wrote: Sun Apr 24, 2022 12:35 amYou caught me before I fixed it, but yeah, about that much. im not saying it's disappeared, but back then, every pub or party you sent to, they had it!!
not something ive ever partaken in personally, im quite a shy person in person, so couldn't get up in front of people and butcher a song i probably hate (don't see them having many of my preferred songs? maybe i dunno,)
but yeah, im not a fan.

Just imagine this is sold in a jewellery, and suddenly it makes sense… Imagine your wife is presenting that to you on your wedding anniversary. You certainly want to marry her again…
It looks like its made from platin and for sure its assembled by a master jeweller and not in china…
There is also a practical use case. It belongs into your emergency adapter kit. In case you run out of ins or outs in your normal interface/mixer… You pray that you will never need it, but if you do, you would cry out the audio engineers equivalent for “My kingdom for a horse”…

Yeah, I don’t know… The missus proposed with a Les Paul that I’ve always wanted (and I proposed to her first with a traditional diamond ring).Tj Shredder wrote: Wed Jun 08, 2022 1:53 pm Just imagine this is sold in a jewellery, and suddenly it makes sense… Imagine your wife is presenting that to you on your wedding anniversary. Just seeing some of the complaints and returns from the Elektron forum I don’t know that these will withstand the test of time, but who knows?
But if we’re comparing gear to jewelry… there’s lots of gear that keeps working long after we leave this planet, and some of it will be worth more than jewelry too.

Even those of us who bought things like the OP-1 and were called hipsters back in the day have trouble with this one!![]()

Yeah, more like a Wanna-Like-a. I haven't commented or followed this 'thing' at all, as it is too obscenely ridiculous to spend ANY energy on, but... if I were to interject something into any discussion it would be something to the effect of:
"if you are going to spend "professional level" money on a portable multi-track recorder, then get a (f**king) 'professional level' multi-track recorder, and learn how to use it!" like this one:
