Just read on the official VCV Rack forum that some gits are giving the creator of the (excellent) premium bundle of Substation modules shit for releasing it to open source after a year. A ten dollar bundle and people are now sending them emails and giving them shit because they dare release it for free *.
I hate people.
* Oh and they'd still have to build it and the artwork has been swapped for something generic plus no official support if anything goes wrong with it so it isn't even as nice as the paid product.

these guys don't even understand that they will benefit from it as well with new better modules from some other developers.
these are supposed to sound great , i can t wait to give a try

Been having lots of fun with the new vult module Anima, it's a 'pseudo random' sequencer so until you fiddle with it again the sequence is repeatable; it's a fun way of generating patterns. Have only used it for notes so far, but next will tinker with gates and see if it can make some funky beats.

i try the lindenberg modules these are nice to bring some different flavor of "analog " color to vcv, the one i used are a bit less wild and raw than vult but more gentlee and polished , like in between vult and softube maybe https://community.vcvrack.com/t/lindenb ... ad/6683/39
just made a patch with the ms20 filter, vcv is amazing..

I finally found a LFO with the precision I wanted.
Most of the LFOs in VCV Rack are not that precisely....

I absolutely shy away from precision. Give me slew, drift and weird randomness all day long
I've been playing with Grayscale's Permutation and a few other Turning machine based sequencing tools trying to work out a few things. I want to see if I can create a preset bunch of 'riffs' that can be tapped into during a live recording.
Don't necessarily want to prewrite any notes or patterns, but find a way to generate them and then reuse them as motifs later.

This module looks very promising. I didn’t want to delve into coding modules, but interested in something like this I could tap into to quickly create functions or logic based on the inputs.

Very interesting! I'm a big fan of Monome Teletype, which is more for scripting sequencing/quantization/control stuff (and extending the functionality of some other modules that it talks to), but isn't fast enough to directly process CV or audio. This looks great for simple experiments or rolling your own basic utilities. Thanks for pointing it out!WatchTheGuitar wrote: Thu Apr 14, 2022 2:27 pm This module looks very promising. Maybe it's the official Doepfer modules that they've been promising?

Must be. That’s a Doepfer style knob design alright.cthonophonic wrote: Mon Apr 25, 2022 8:36 pm Maybe it's the official Doepfer modules that they've been promising?
Would be cool to play with some of the modules like Phase Locked Loop that look a bit mysterious in hardware. And be great to have all those filters and oscillators modelled like Wasp, SEM, Vactrol etc.

Black and orange …same colour scheme cytomic uses , and last week Andrew (cytomic) said he was going to announce something .Rastkovic wrote: Mon Apr 25, 2022 8:23 pm Something new is coming....
