Can’t speak for you, but I found that the less EQ I use on vocals, the better usually, e.g. just using a hi and lo shelf for balance plus maybe one mid band for removing some honkiness. TDR SlickEQ is very good for that, sometimes even a little bit of tilt EQ helps.Fornicras wrote: Fri Apr 22, 2022 6:54 am So many people recommended VCS-1 here and I tried it, it really is good. Mixed a song with 16 tracks with only VCS-1 and it sounds really good, easy to use and understand unlike analog-modeled strips but I find it hard to mix vocals with it, maybe because of 5 band eq, I'm more used to working with unlimited bands. My vocals sound thin I can't give enough body to them with VCS-1, what I'm doing wrong?
I believe the 2500 by Lindell is in the works - think it was in a recent email.mothra wrote: Sat Apr 16, 2022 3:24 pm ... Would love it if Waves would do a full API channel like the SSLs, or PA would break out the compressor from theirs so we'd get a separate 2500 to use without the rest of it.
Thanks for the heads up on this no brainer deal..._leras wrote: Fri Apr 22, 2022 2:13 pmIf you don't have any great channels strips at the moment then I'd say this deal is a no-brainer.

Yeah that one is great. It is cool that you can set OS setting and hum level globally to all instances.Erik_Lucas wrote: Sun Apr 24, 2022 11:36 pm This has got to be the best native Neve channel strip in my opinion: https://kitplugins.com/products/kit-bb-n105
You called his post "ridiculous", didn't you? That was ridiculous.ramseysounds wrote: Sat Apr 16, 2022 8:20 amLook, can I just state that this is a discussion forum. People are going to disagree. Jamcat had his opinion and I had mine. If you read a later post of mine I actually state his post is articulate, comprehensive and informative. With hindsight, I’ll apologise if my comments were taken as anything other than discussive as that wasn’t the intention. You’re going to get different opinions on a forum. Too many woke people around.kevingham wrote: Sat Apr 16, 2022 7:53 amAlso, thanks to jamcat for your earlier informative post, I found that very interesting and a great insight into a far different workflow to my own.
