If you don't have any great channels strips at the moment then I'd say this deal is a no-brainer.

The Focusrite channel strip from Plugin Alliance is really really good.. and it's still currently part of the free gift package of theirs.

Mixed a song with 16 tracks with only VCS-1 and it sounds really good, easy to use and understand unlike analog-modeled strips but I find it hard to mix vocals with it, maybe because of 5 band eq, I'm more used to working with unlimited bands. My vocals sound thin I can't give enough body to them with VCS-1, what I'm doing wrong?
Can’t speak for you, but I found that the less EQ I use on vocals, the better usually, e.g. just using a hi and lo shelf for balance plus maybe one mid band for removing some honkiness. TDR SlickEQ is very good for that, sometimes even a little bit of tilt EQ helps.
If that doesn’t work because the vocals are particularly uneven, I try other tools like dynamic EQ.

I believe the 2500 by Lindell is in the works - think it was in a recent email.

Thanks for the heads up on this no brainer deal...

Very,very nice...

There's more than a little mojo in this bundle of joy :tu:

I might have to come back for seconds

Recently I got Lindell 50 and Lindell 80 for just $29. I think that I'll keep using these. Actually, they work well together. Neve for broader 'in your face' EQ and compressor for 'non-drums' tasks and API for precision.
I like Waves CLA but it's using too much CPU for what it does so I'm using it very rarely.
bx consoles never impressed me. I expected that it will be the same with Lindell consoles but I'm quite impressed with them. Easy to add 'mojo' and vibe to tracks. With just 1dB here and there on a master bus and I got 'that last 5%' that I couldn't get with other plugins. I did another track yesterday with 50 and 80 on all tracks and I must admit, I got good results very quickly. Now I just wish to have a physical controller for each of them

Softube Console 1. The default SSL 4000 E is all over my music and has made a considerable positive impact on my production. The controller is also very enjoyable to use.

This has got to be the best native Neve channel strip in my opinion: https://kitplugins.com/products/kit-bb-n105

Airwindows CStrip is the only one I actually use. I liked the look of that Harrison 32C one but then I saw that vid by Dan Worrall and decided naaaaa.

There are better signatures out there.

Yeah that one is great. It is cool that you can set OS setting and hum level globally to all instances.
I also have a Console 1 with most of the strips, but they are really taxing on the cpu when having 80 instances loaded with all options on :) The SSL Native v2 is also very nice.

I use now the BB-N105 into the SSL Native v2 as track insert, the console one only on master and on some tracks in which I want dynamic para eq tweaking (juno hoovers  )

I have a PA sub and thus all the strips, but I never use them.

It's a shame that discussion like this can devolve so quickly on here. As you can see, I'm an infrequent poster, but have been a member/reader here for a long, long time. It never used to be like this.
Look, can I just state that this is a discussion forum. People are going to disagree. Jamcat had his opinion and I had mine. If you read a later post of mine I actually state his post is articulate, comprehensive and informative. With hindsight, I’ll apologise if my comments were taken as anything other than discussive as that wasn’t the intention. You’re going to get different opinions on a forum. Too many woke people around. 🤷‍♂️
You called his post "ridiculous", didn't you? That was ridiculous.

I really like the Waves OmniChannel, PA FocusriteCS and IK MixBox.

Post

I quite like the PA Focusrite one and the Waves SSL E channel. Both have a very distinct sound so I use that for whatever benefits from those sound characteristics.

Post

I have a few channel strip plug-ins and some hardware, Neve and API channel strips. The only channel plug-in I use regularly is the BX_Console Focusrite from Brainworx. Very flexible, sounds good and doesn't mess with the character of my tracks.
