It comes right after you click the button. It's the same price as the Forever29 thing and you can't use your voucher on it.
Just do it the Forever29 way, buy the plugin, cancel it.
No idea why they made it into a subscription
Possibly because some people forget to cancel.
Anyway I did this 2x for 2 vouchers and cancelled immediately after receiving them. You can even use the $1 voucher after you cancelled the sub.

Three considerations with subscriptions:
I am emotionally involved against such. Many reasons to list here.
If payment goes thru Ppal one is able to deactivate monthly payments, but the record remains there for years, if not ever.
Has someone read, carefully checked the small print one signs and compared it with the perpetual licenses situation? Not sure the state after unsubscribing goes 100% back to zero...

I appreciate that, but I personally wouldn't do that. If they're handing out free vouchers and making things stupidly on sale, I have no issues taking advantage of those deals. I have no desire to circumvent anyone's system or abuse technicalities for the sake of a few dollars though.dermage wrote: Wed Apr 27, 2022 4:44 pmIt's the same price as the Forever29 thing and you can't use your voucher on it.dangayle wrote: Wed Apr 27, 2022 4:15 pm The day after I use my PA voucher is when they finally put the HG-2MS plugin on sale. it's not really doing anything that Dirk didn't expect people to do, he stated that you could carry multiple subscriptions and cancel whenever you wanted. If they really wanted to control it, they would have made it annual.dangayle wrote: Wed Apr 27, 2022 7:52 pmI appreciate that, but I personally wouldn't do that. I'm pretty sure (not 100%) that I read somewhere that the $20 discount they're offering on upgrade-in-advance (from $99 to $79) goes away on May 3. Presumably that means that the $99 upgrade price will remain.Project wrote: Wed Apr 27, 2022 4:19 pm Does someone knows if the upgrade price from EZDrummer 2 to EZDrummer 3 will remain the same after EZDrummer 3 will be out, on May 3rd? I want to upgrade but I would prefer to wait a bit
And for the poster who was concerned about gaming PA's system by repeatedly subscribing and immediately cancelling their $30 plugin subscription -- they made it pretty clear in their announcement that this was okay w/them. I agree that it seems sort of odd -- it does SEEM like there should be a "catch" -- but I can't figure out what it is. So I'd probably do it next time I want something from PA and don't have a voucher to use.

Yeah, don't feel bad about doing the PA $29 monthly sub and then cancelling - they practically invite you to do so.GoldieK wrote: Wed Apr 27, 2022 8:42 pmit's not really doing anything that Dirk didn't expect people to do, he stated that you could carry multiple subscriptions and cancel whenever you wanted. Yep. No reason to feel guilty about that. PA grossly overprices their plugins to use the anchoring bias to convince people their products are such a fantastic deal when on sale.MogwaiBoy wrote: Thu Apr 28, 2022 1:11 amYeah, don't feel bad about doing the PA $29 monthly sub and then cancelling - they practically invite you to do so.GoldieK wrote: Wed Apr 27, 2022 8:42 pmit's not really doing anything that Dirk didn't expect people to do, he stated that you could carry multiple subscriptions and cancel whenever you wanted. Yeah, that's almost certainly a massive over-estimation. Native Instruments is estimated to make between $25m and $100m a year. iZotope makes in the neighborhood of $30m a year. Even if Plugin Alliance has the same revenue as their new Soundwide partners (which personally I find a bit unlikely), that's more like $100k/day, not over a million.Kurdish Mayfield wrote: Thu Apr 28, 2022 2:44 amHow do you know that they make "over a million bucks a day" ?MogwaiBoy wrote: Thu Apr 28, 2022 1:11 am Yeah, don't feel bad about doing the PA $29 monthly sub and then cancelling - they practically invite you to do so.

That said, I agree, subscribing to Forever29 for ten minutes to get the coupon isn't abusing the system at all. It's using it exactly how it's intended. Weird business model, but I guess whatever works for them.

I consider this move by Plugin Alliance as ingenious. They have realized, due to their own and competitor habits, that no one wants to pay more than $30 for any plugin.
Being subbed or not is kinda same, because if you cancel and then you want a new plugin, you will sub again. It's up to you how you want to use the plan - for using all plugins OR only to buy a plugin you want. If you remain subbed you also get to use all their plugins and get to own one plugin every month for $1. A definite win-win!

I think getting a plugin each month for $30 is a good deal ( even the new one ) but i think they killed the second hand market.

Indeed, I missed mentioning the "second hand market" point. It's good in a way since you buy directly from the company and there are no hassles of dealing in the second hand market (as far as PA is concerned) and save some of your valuable time.
Waves also killed the second hand market for their plugins ever since they started their $30 campaign.
