But it would be a lot quicker and easier if users were able to set the scan folder of their own choice - and this doesn't appear to be so in this current demo version.
...
Totally'v got your point.
That said, I think that the opportunity to scan/choose the plugin(s) you want Fluid Chords to "see" is great!
And I really mean it.
I would appreciate other devs to adopt this way of doing things which don't force you to scan every plugins residing on your system.
E.g., Soundigy's MIDI Lab works that way and I love that.

^^ Absolutely :)

(and also I don't think these developers, who are rather computer savvy, will find it too difficult to update the version to include user-editable folder locations for batch scanning).

A few things:

1. The "Settings -> Pitch Bend Range" should not be global. This should be per-preset and on the main GUI? Why? Because some MPE synths are expecting a 48st bend range, and others may be restricted to 24st. So let's make this easy access and per-preset.

2. Learn should not auto-advance - or there should be a checkbox to control that. When I'm learning a chord, I may want to try different voicings on the same pad without it auto-advancing on me.

3. Why didn't they use a full octave? If you did that, then I could learn a chord on the note it corresponds too. Then if you allowed blank steps, I could play a C chord on a C note, then bend to the next note with a chord on it, which could be an Fmaj7 on the F note. Right now, I'd likely assign C to the C note, and Fmaj7 to the D note to do that. But that would be less intuitive to me than just being able to have the whole octave available for learning.

4. How do you send MIDI Out? On the one video, it made it seem like you could when they showed the PRV with the pitchbend info written to it. But how do I set that up? It seems like this isn't meant to output MIDI at all and this is rather meant to "do everything in the plugin". This would be much more valuable if it had MPE MIDI Out. Otherwise, it's not doing much I can't do in fluid pitch.

What is the demo limitation? If it stops working after a certain number of days then I will wait until I know I have enough time. Thanks.

+1 for a customizable VST folder with subfolders scan.

Thank you mentioning this. I will share this with our team too.

Just FYI: you can also drag and drop the plugin files to scan them.

If you use the Standalone(which is capable of creating the MIDI port "Fluid Chords STANALAONE" automatically), the MIDI out can be captured by the DAW.

Thanks for the other feedback, I am sharing them with the team.

I appreciate you try out the trial first. Even if you run out of the trial days, you can send a mail to support@pitchinnovations.com to extend the trial anytime.

Hi, yes. Fluid Chords work on Apple M1 chips natively. Please do note that you have to use Silicon M1 ready plugins in order to host VST and VST3 versions of them.

I'm well aware how standalone MIDI app works because i use Max as standalone midi app from time to time - but i don't use it often because it's a pain in the ass to fiddle with routing, session recall is annoying, and it's simply detrimental from a workflow perspective.

I'm looking at this plugin to speed things up. It's not doing anything i can't already do by hand, or semi-automatic - use pitch-bend quantiser plugin and multichannel midi file on a single plugin instance.
Some VSTs have that built in.

If i need to jump through 5 hoops to get this i might as well keep it in my DAW and use that free workaround instead.

New update!
Here is an updated version of Fluid Chords - https://www.dropbox.com/s/j0dk0ar5nhnxa ... s.zip?dl=0

with changes:
* Bugfix: Windows installer did not install the program on the user specified installation path is fixed
* Windows: Factory Presets are stored on the user specified installation path
* Scanner: On Scan, Scanner would ask for the paths to scan
* New MIDI FX version of Fluid Chords is now available - Logic users can use "Fluid Chords MFX" to use with Logic's inbuilt sounds
* Scanner: Added U-he's synths to auto enable list
* Scanner: If some plugins take a long time to scan on particular situation in a custom scan, the scanner would wait for it to finish
* Pitch Bend parameter is implemented
1. PB Parameter is linked with the GUI's wheel
2. The PB Parameter(when the value is changed) will take precedence over the MIDI's PB messages
Synthient Sound wrote: Sat Apr 16, 2022 2:42 am I'd also prefer it to be MIDI FX (also a Logic user). Would be much more clean to introduce into my workflow.
Ploki wrote: Fri Apr 15, 2022 7:26 pm Why does it only exist as "instrument" in logic, not MIDI FX?
Synthient Sound wrote: Sun Apr 17, 2022 3:51 am Using stand alone is a no go for me. MIDI FX keeps me in my Logic and is a quick work flow. I can't be bothered to chain things up with a stand alone app.

HI @suganthan and many thanks for the update!

Excellent - many thanks for the update :)

It's saying the 15 day trial is up. Which is weird because 1) the plugin hasn't been out for 15 days, 2) I believe I only started the trial on Saturday the 16th or Sunday the 17th when I provided the feedback above. If it's a 15 day trial, I'd think that would run until May 1st or 2nd.

No worries right? There's an option on the GUI and website to extend the trial by another week! EXCEPT...that option doesn't actually seem to work.

I'd really like to check out the MFX version.
