Whereas you have the problem of not shutting up about Reaper in a thread about Reason.
Huh???

Your reply makes absolutely zero sense in the light of who wrote what in this thread and who mentioned Reaper first - seriously: WTF??? :nutter: :help:

Thing is: you barely get anything of what is great about Reason this way. That's why I keep saying it's like the Props themselves don't know anymore the true strengths of their product (so they are unable to market it properly) - let's see:

- connect anything to anything in the Rack (intertrack connecitivity for audio, MIDI, and CV)? Nope!

- Blocks? Nope!

- MIDI-lanes? Nope!

- direct sampling? Nope!

- "send to track" from the Players? Nope!

- Reason's clean, tidy interface with helpful stuff such as per-(audio-)track tuner? Nope!

- Reason's unique and powerful audio-editor? Nope!

Yadda yadda. Perhaps you're happy, but it doesn't have much to do with the Reason as we know it and love it. It's something entirely different.

There two main reasons why I’m avoiding that.

One is the I never liked the VST instruments within a shell experience. It feels a bit cumbersome and awkward. Others, like Kontakt and Falcon have the same problem for me.
Exactly. Remote control and automation are just unusable. Even when you’ve spend some time to configure the parameters in the daw, you lost the names if you change a preset or everything if you change the device !
As someone said it, RRP is not Reason. It’s just a way to create « instrument rack » as the Live ones except it’s vertical and inside the rack so you use the Reason devices.
More than expecting that RS upgrade its daw (as this won’t happen), I think it’s better to « put them under pressure » to make a more Reason like RRP :ud:

Why, just why? That still wouldn't give you Blocks and so forth. If you like Reason, then why not just using Reason?

Evidence?
I did a comparison of serach engine searches (Google and YouTube) using VidIQ and Similarweb comparing DAW search sesults and website traffic a while ago. Did it for my own amusement and kept no screenshots but you can do this yourself. REAPER is top 3 after FL and Live.

Do a search for Linux, and you'll find the net is full of it.

Do a search for OS market share, and you'll see where Linux really is, on the home PC consumer market.

See, I don't want to say that Reaper isn't popular. It's just that noone can know how popular it really is. I never found it particularly popular in the pro market, because, in all the producer videos I ever watched, I never ever saw it. Instead, I saw a lot of Logic, Cubase and Live.

Not that that says much. Again, I wouldn't want to judge how popular DAW XY is.

Back to topic please. Its not a reaper thread....

I'm a vote with your wallet type of guy. If I don't like something I don't buy it or at least make a concerted effort to not give that company money (looking at NI). However most people are "complain on forums and but still get hype when some trinket is thrown their way" type people. It's like gamers. They are the most whiney sacks you'v ever heard. Complain about everything, but are the same dumbasses that pre-order a game 3-4 months in advance. People would rather complain than do without. So whatever Reason Studios does unless a lot of folks collectively decide to stop buying their products, they are not feeling any pressure.

How would you possibly know what "most people" do?

Observation, experience?

You can find hundreds of posts on NI's forums (old and new one) with people complaining about NI, yet they still buy Komplete every year, and fall all over themselves when NI releases a new shiny light up controller.

Or how Cyberpunk 2077 despite all the complaints still sold 18+ million copies (that was just announced this month btw). At some point you have to put two and two together.

I misspoke on "most people". I guess I should clarify "most people in my experience/opinion etc".

But how exactly do you know how many of those complaining "buy Komplete every year, and fall all over themselves when NI releases a new shiny light up"?

Again observation and experience. If I'm on the NI or GS forums and I see people complaining about NI and how much they suck then a month later they are asking how do they download the latest version of Kontakt that they just bought or how to activate Maschine it doesn't take a genius to know that maybe that person did not vote with their wallet. If NI sucks don't buy their product it's really that simple.

Not sure what you are trying to do with your pedantry here. What is the point you are trying make?
