Wow, $75 loyalty voucher now has a $125 minimum spend. Unless I’m missing something it would be pointless to use it rather than do the $30 subscription thing and pay $1 for any plugin. Am I missing something?

And it's only a question of time until they remove Forever 29. They want us to have a subscription. Once again PA, Soundwide etc. - NO. I don't subscribe to anything.

The only subscription i could imagine is a "rent to own" like splice is doing.
I think we will see a lot of dev turning to subcription , pro tools make it possible...steinberg will follow soon i think,it is possible now with their protection scheme

Another nail in the coffin for selling licences as no cheap ways of activating them. I guess the only time will be around the Mega Sales when they give out $20 codes with no minimum spend (unless that also changes).

These vouchers will cost anyone a minimum of $20 more than the $1 voucher subsciption.

No you're not missing anything. The price of a Plugin Alliance plugin is now $31 and everything else is just chaff.

I'm holding out till Black Friday, hoping Presonus offer 50% off upgrades for its loyal customers in these difficult times. The market is bound to slump. I have 3 Pro and 5 Artist. I've upgraded in the past from the initial release.

They usually do ~30% off Studio One and Upgrade, then 50% off plugins and add-ons.

I wonder if software companies are going to adjust in favour of the consumer and sales? With the rise in the cost of living their share of the market is bound to fall, disposable incomes are going also going to fall.

Netflix has lost subscribers for the first time, and a further drop is expected. I think this is just the beginning of consumers cutting back on and focussing on priorities, the cost of living is rising.

I'm surprised they did the "2 for $49" sale so soon before raising the voucher minimum spend. Though I guess this way might be better for encouraging "new subscribers", if that's the metric their new buyers are looking at.... (IDK, seems like they're chasing revenue too.)

No more rationalizing PA flash sale purchases by telling myself I'll have the option to sell so I'm not "really" spending money.

[Edit: though the 2 for $49 allowed the voucher iirc, so perhaps it was a revenue grab. Too bad they didn't warn people the voucher minimum would be increased... though I still have my old $25 survey voucher I haven't used, hopefully minimum on that hasn't been increased.]
