No, I haven't experienced laggy browser Omni at all. Haven't used Stylus for YEARS, so don't know about that. Omni is usually pretty solid, though.

Well, I don't know their exact reasons, but, downloading a library of 70 GB just to demo the plugin would be a bit silly.

On the other hand, you kind of buy a pig in a poke, if you didn't happen to try the plugin somewhere else, or never heard a sound demo. Not sure how important demoing for such sample heavy plugins is in general though. I mean, you can't listen to all that content anyway.

They could allow a much smaller version of the sample content just to allow demoing of the engine. (to check stability, system compatibility, workflow etc).

I would probably own Omnisphere by now if they did...... :shrug:

Its worth it, it's so good its hard to describe tbh.

I bought it about 6 months ago.
Don’t have any issues so far with it, even tho it lately I don’t do music much.

I think those issues that happen with omnisphere are with illegal copies of omnisphere.
