Logic since 1993. And it's predecessor (Creator/Notator) for some years before that...

I'm not exactly surprised at which DAW is leading in the polls, this being a Mac only poll.
I use it myself and will probably use it for as long as I am alive. I have zero interest in any others, though I have used some others in the past, a long time ago.
But at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter which DAW somebody uses. What matters is the material that they make with that DAW.

They weren't being serious, it was a joke, since they mentioned Reaper not being in the lead.

Logic, for me. That and Pro Tools are the only ones I trust to really target Macs properly. What I mean by that is I’ve seen other DAWs neglect to support some components (such as GPUs etc) that are specific to the high end Macs because they’re not common enough.
Also, the fact that it has a large user base and only supports AU helps developers make more stable plug-ins.

I would probably go for Logic if I used my "work" Mac for music production. Still I have only Reason installed (because it's more or less "self-contained", so I don't have to install all my plugins separately).
Mac Mini M4 Pro | 14 Cores (10P/4E) | 48GB RAM | Studio One | Reason | Bitwig Studio | Logic Pro | FL Studio | Cubase Pro | Waveform | Reaper | Renoise | ~1000 VSTs/AUs | ~350 REs

Having both uninstalled and installed most of my plugins recently, I can say that it's a sh** load of work.starflakeprj wrote: Sun May 08, 2022 10:22 pm Still I have only Reason installed (because it's more or less "self-contained", so I don't have to install all my plugins separately).

I wonder how many of the Other votes are for GagrageBand. Seems like that should’ve been on the list.

Same situation here on my Windows machine, I truly hate going through installing all software again. Studio One count says 870 now, both VST2 and VST3. But I have only reached halfway, time wise, I assume. As I'm finished with bundles and stuff, and now starting with individual plugins more or less....shoot me...chk071 wrote: Sun May 08, 2022 10:25 pmHaving both uninstalled and installed most of my plugins recently, I can say that it's a sh** load of work.starflakeprj wrote: Sun May 08, 2022 10:22 pm Still I have only Reason installed (because it's more or less "self-contained", so I don't have to install all my plugins separately).![]()

My 220 something already were a lot of work.
Took the chance to slim it down a bit though... I had a bit over 320 on my former PC. Mainly the magware I installed and never used.
