Noticeable in a full mix?

Well, a (perhaps better) competitor for the U-He Repro is most welcome. Although I'm actually more excited about the improved CS80.

Repro feels a bit like its own thing, sounds like a P5, but has enough of its own unique stuff that it exists as its own thing. You will be the judge if you think the Arturia PV is a more apples to apples comparison to a real PV. Not to mention, repro copied a Rev 3 I believe, you all have yet to see which version the Arturia PV captured. That makes a bit of difference

I would love to see a drum solution added to that. Doesn't have to be an emulation, especially since the Augmented series seems to be in there, Spark 3 perhaps?🤞

I asked the Magic 8-Ball, "what's the likelihood that the Arturia CDN will grind to a halt tomorrow and take a day or two to get back to normal?" The response was, "it is certain."

We'll see Magic 8-Ball, we'll see...

Nice! :)
Are you a beta tester?

RePro-5 was indeed a Rev3. It's sounding like Arturia did either a Rev 2 or did what Sequential did with the Rev 4 and let you flip between Rev 2 and Rev 3.

I've got a Rev. 4, and while RePro-5 nails the sound, it's much tighter in terms of tuning, filter, and envelope slop. For instance, with the "Detune" on 40 or so, you get some nice tuning variation per voice, but the envelopes and filter are still very tight compared to the Rev. 4 with the Vintage Knob on 3. Repro could totally benefit from some additional slop parameters on the Tweaks page. If Arturia got the sound about right, but had more control over individual voice offsets, as I expect they will, that would be a nice way to distinguish itself from RePro.

Then again, some people don't care about having the best emulation of a particular vintage synth and just want ballpark sounds at a great value package. I've got a buddy who has V-Collection and he's totally happy with it as the source of all of his synth and keys sounds. He has no interest in RePro or other products, and feels like he gets great value from V-Collection. There's probably more folks like that out there, than there are KVR/Gearspace users who care about having the best emulation of X synth and getting into all the nitty gritty differences.

PsychicVST wrote: Sun May 08, 2022 5:42 pm The only thing that I’m interested in is the new Augmented Voices. I have all the Arturia software and hardly use any of their VA instruments anymore as I tend to reach for Uhe or TAL first. If they charge me more than $99 to update I’ll wait for a better deal or the next collection.
TAL and U-He don’t do a MS20, CS-80 or Prophet VS emulation. Maybe you don’t care about better versions of those, but I sure do. I’m pretty excited. Also, Arturia is pretty good about pricing their upgrades. I’ve never felt I didn’t get good value for my money.
I don’t wanna take away from your excitement. Looks like there is plenty to be excited about here. I like Arturia and assume this will be pretty cool. It’s just personally, the only thing I’m interested in is the Augmented Vocals but I probably won’t pay $200 for it alone. I already have so many synths, hardware and software. I want new stuff that will bring something unique to what I already have.

Anybody gotten a chance to peek under the hood when the advanced button is hit on those augmented romplers?

I'd love to see this:

Fairlight III and updated factory library
Emulator II update w/all the factory libraries. Easier import of native EII samples.
Voyetra 8
Kawai K5
Elka Synthex
Akai AX-60 and/or AX-80
Korg DW-8000

Any guess what the upgrade cost would be from V6? I'm glad I didn't upgrade in the last deal to V8. I had a feeling they'd have new stuff soon enough. Very glad I waited with all that's in this one.

Current upgrade price is $349 so I'm guessing the fabulous intro price for people not keeping up will be $249-$299, but I'm just guessing and that's based on a $149-$199 price for the more loyal among you.
