free* or not some visual feedback would be nice (esp. with long/space diffusion network)

The new Delay+ gives some lovely results with very short delay times and using the blur modes and high feedback with a bit of ducking. I'm impressed with Delay+ sound character and possibilities.

I was really happy to see ducking built in. It really does work nicely with blur. I think Bitwig did an excellent job with this delay. Simple and quick to use.pdxindy wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 6:45 pm The new Delay+ gives some lovely results with very short delay times and using the blur modes and high feedback with a bit of ducking. stock presets gonna love it, third-party plugins can't be used there ... new users can be impressed more easily which keeps Bitwig alive so we also will be happy at the end ... at the end of the food chain

i think all the bitwig 4 updates apart from 4.0 have been great, the note fx, then note grid, now convolution and a diffusion delay with vsts in the feedback loop
there are other things id like but bitwig already does a lot and they're adding stuff really quickly compared to other daws, im sure theyll get to a lot of the other things people are asking for, im all for both new devices and improvements to the old ones, convolution is quite a big addition

Also, when you have a development team that's been focusing mostly on adding and expanding sound design capabilities, I bet those kinds of things are probably not as fun to work on.slackhead wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 5:39 pm But I would like to see some more significant QoL changes, like step input and a reworking of the piano roll editor and maybe some gui improvements. Bitwig seem to need to keep pushing out new devices at every update, I guess to help marketing, but at some point they should really look at refining what the've already got.

Yeah. All the "+" versions of effects have sounded really fantastic, imo. The chorus is the nicest, smoothest sounding chorus I've used, beating out many popular third party options. They've really stepped up their FX DSP game, that's for sure.pdxindy wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 6:45 pm The new Delay+ gives some lovely results with very short delay times and using the blur modes and high feedback with a bit of ducking. The Delay+ works as a lovely sounding reverb too!billcarroll wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 7:15 pmI was really happy to see ducking built in. It really does work nicely with blur.
