So selling something as "the latest and greatest" and then coming from behind the corner two weeks later with "haha... look at this", that's not very cool. It's called tricking customers.

Would that have happened two months ago, or half a year, ofc... that's bad luck. But this is cheating if the company then doesn't offer any grace period at all, not even their usual discounted upgrade price.
You get the upgrade price at $199 instead of $499, right?
How much did you pay for it 2 weeks ago? Less than $300?
Definitely not less, but that doesn't matter in this case. It was under the impression of buying the latest version, when in fact V9 was already in their storage. And we all know regular plugin prices are just inflated make up stories for the shareholders anyways.

So all in all, initiated through this first sale, Arturia got 1000€ from me in the last two weeks. Which is some substantial amount of money. To not offer anything here really, that is what's bothering.

I seem to remember seeing a V7 to V8 upgrade for $/€99 at some point, aybeif you owned Pigments as well. Can anyone remember when or is my memory faulty?

It does matter, though.
If you paid $300€ for it, then $300€ + $199€ is $499€, which is what Arturia values V9 at currently.
If you paid more, then you have something to complain about, and should contact them to see what they can do for you.

200 euros for a single instrument is not really cheap but the demo sounds on the site sound pretty damn good
Agreed. I just loaded it up and put it in MPE mode and holy sh!tsnacks, was I able to get some amazing soundscapes. Upgrade purchased.
Is V9 MPE now then? (Fingers crossed)
I’m not seeing that info on there site.

CS-80 V and MS-20 have it, but not sure of the others though.

I only checked out a few, (MS20, CS80, Prophet VS) but it seems so. I was a bit confused, though. you have Slide A and Slide B and you can assign them to anything, but without any sort of curve, which is important if you have something like a Rise. When I assigned a parameter and changed the knob, it seemed like the parameter just changed. Maybe I don’t know what I’m doing… or it’s broken. Probably the former, but you never know… per note sliding worked perfectly, though.

I think it was $149, same as now.

Hmm. Unfortunately there are some problems with the NKS implementations.
  • After you switch presets with the built-in browser (within the plugin UI), you can no longer switch presets with the NKS browser (in Komplete Kontrol or Maschine). Nothing happens when switching presets.
  • CS-80 V4 makes a weird blip every few notes in the default "Aftertouch Surprise" patch. This only happens in Komplete Kontrol (and probably Maschine as well). When I load the same patch in the standalone CS-80 V4 app, I don't hear the blip. It's probably safe to assume there are problems with other presets as well.
  • There are problems with the colors in the thin header image shown above the (NKS) preset list. For CS-80 V4, I just see an empty white rectangle. For MS-20 V, the background is a very bright yellow with white text on it that is impossible to read.

Great upgrade! The best (for me) so far!! Love the new Augmented instruments and the new/updated synths are dope :tu: The Piano is great as well. Overall, it is much better than I expected! I think Arturia has nailed it this time :)
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Tried the MS20. Not bad. As I suspected though I think the Diva modules are closer to hardware. Although of course the design isn't exactly the same. But you can do most of the same stuff with Diva's modulations.

My memory is bad. Looks like it was only 2 months ago. Some in this thread say they had upgrades from V5 for €99 and others got V8 for 150 just for owning Pigments.

Did anyone else notice when you updated everything in Software center that they changed the name of the OB-Xa to OP-Xa?

Hmmm...I wonder why they did that?

Why do you think that?

Arturia should be nailing these emulations since V collection 6. Which is when they got their PHD dsp guru's and changed their modeling process to component modeling.
