The knobs with the thick white line were already doing their job very well.
If you double-click on the bottom right hand screw, next to the Korg logo, you can change the font to any colour you want.
Woah :o
How did you know that?

Thank you!

This is a very important part of an emulation!
Actually, the Prophet-VS can import SYX files. :)

I just tried to install a sound pack included with v9. It won’t install on my m1 max. It says,
“The program cannot be installed in this computer, because of the system architecture PPC is not supported. Intel architecture is required!”

What’s up with that? The synth are m1 native but the sound packs aren’t?

I can't take credit for finding it, it's mentioned somewhere earlier in this thread. :)

Oh man, the hardware sounds noticeably better. It has a richer, warmer tone that is less precise and sterile.

There is a rumor of a poly AT controller by Behringer, they finished a poly AT key-bed 3 years ago.

And I love my Hydrasynth Explorer even without the ribbon.
Few days ago they actually presented a design prototype for a 61-key midi controller, asking the userbase for feedback.
Estimated price $199.

Wheels all the way up there is a no for me. I need my wheels down bottom to reach them from a chair! That's why I chose the Impact GXP61

Exactly the kind of "cliche" that's been repeated ad nauseam around here.

And you came to that conclusion based on a YouTube video? :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:

Confirmation bias is very real. I just ignore any assertions like this unless they resulted from an actual blind test.

As you can see from the screenshot , I am using EG 1 (green ) routed to initial gain , and EG 2(red) default to filter .
EG 2 is decaying the (LP) filter freq ,sustain set to zero .
On the arturia version the initial gain is called eg2 sidechain , and when EG 2 reaches sustain ( zero ) there is silence , on the korg version there is not becasue EG1 partially overrides it .

If you can’t hear the difference, I don’t know what to tell you. Maybe spend more time with the hardware and less time on KVR?

Oh, and BTW, I downloaded the Arturia MS-20 V demo. While it sounds better than the Korg MS-20 emulation (which isn't saying much,) the Arturia still sounds really weak. I've played with a real MS-20 before, and it has the same "mojo" that all my other analog synths have.

Seems like a BUg , see my post above
A repl from someone who owns the real deal ( on gearslutz )
It seems that the real deal does not go to zero since eg1 is added to eg2
So arturia ..you're call

The same is happening to me on my M1 Mac. Only the Beatmaker's Haze sound pack.

I installed a couple old expansions with no issue, but none of the new expansions will install.

So far, I've noticed general consensus is MS-20 is a winner like GForce's OB-E. I guess we are finally getting to the age where software truly rivals hardware in sound quality.
If you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, baffle 'em with bullshit.

All in all, whatever is left on the v9 plate doesn’t interest me.
Will wait to see what upcoming v10 will offer before paying $149
Agree. Not enough to be worth $199 to me. I guess some people may go for the expansion packs, or whatever.
That would be me. I find their packs incredibly useful. I go through them all, most of them I have no use for but the ones I like I really like so they get marked for future use.

There are duds as well (like the whole Beatles pack) but I'm sure I can find a few amazing patches in almost any pack.

I usually tweak them just a little, record what I need for the project in question. Render. Done.

Btw, I feel the v9 update is worth 149€ to me but might not appeal to everyone.

k
$200 in the world of quality audio gear is.....what can I say, like a flea on a dog?
