.uhm compatibility is very likely. Check the recent feature request topic wrt samples in Z3, some incredibly exciting insights from Urs inside.
Z3 + a .uhm editor : basically the only synth I’ll ever need.

I see those knobs from Hive. Is this indicative of a more modern, hive-like approach to Z3s interface or was it just convenient for a beta? I don't mind either way, and I understand if you don't want to reveal too much.

It will have comb filters, yes . Nothing is likely to be ported directly from Hive or any other synth since Z3 is ultimately it's own thing, but everything will certainly be at least on par with the rest of u-he's offerings since there's now a decade's worth of tech developments to leverage over what was in Z2.
