Not seen much chatter about these digital boutique fx pedals,
https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/xgear/

have bought an X -Vibe one to try out, watched a couple of youtube vids using these with synths, and sounds promising.. I await delivery.

You can try them all today- the hardware is identical to the plug in pedals (as they are all digital) and you can download them from IK to try I got them all free with MAX, they are pretty good (but I don't need them in hardware)

I dont always have my computer turned on, so its nice to just doodle without it on, hence some hardware fx needed ;) But will demo those others now thanks :)

Is it just me, or is the design of these IKM pedals a little too close to Eventide?

This is why I love having DSP effects in my Apollo X6. I tried a couple of Strymon pedals for a while, but it was just a PITA and took up more desk space than I could afford to give up, so I just stuck with the onboard effects and it’s been so much better, especially with all the hardware synths I have.

Well I returned the X gear pedals, IK support were next to useless as was any help with forum (in fact IK mod deleted my post as I was a little criticalof the poor response and pedal problem), the pedal would not save any global setting. so returned it.

As I returned it, I see TC Electronic have now announced the Plethora X3, so ordered it, will be here couple days :) saved me a bit as was about to buy Helix phaser, Hall of fame reverb and the flashback 2

I think they're over-priced. I got the software versions free in the grope buy last September.
If I want to noodle on an electric without my computer on, I just use my BOSS GT-1.

They are nice pedals, but IK forum mods a bit OTT deleting posts that may help others in same situation, IK support taking a week or so to reply to questions. so back they went, yet TC Electronic answered my query within a few hours yesterday, which surprised me how quick, I expected to wait to Monday. Anyways Plethora X3 arrives tomorrow.
