I find the new Cubase midi remote feature incredibly useful. I'd go as far as saying its the biggest boost to my Workflow I've ever seen through any single upgrade or crossgrade between DAW's. Does Studio one have a similar way to build a customisable midi remote...?

Yes, albeit not that comprehensive.

How's the CPU usage with Cubase 12?

It's tight bro. Tight.

Jokes aside, I'm sure it won't be much different to former versions. At least I didn't read "Improved CPU performance" as a new feature of Cubase 12.

Yeah. When a new release comes out usually that will get mentioned somewhere. That's why I was asking for those who use it.

There are no improvements to performance besides that now silence is a bit shorter when a new plugin is loaded.
Yet some people were reporting that C12 is smoother and they have better performance.
Beware! The software discussed in this topic has unacceptable aliasing at -386dBTP but it can be fixed by changing the sample rate to 12Bit

When I used to use Cubase, I’d always stop playback before adding or removing plugins, otherwise it was a sure way to cause a crash. Most things crashed Cubase. I think working with it for as long as I did gave me PTSD.

@jamcat - I agree! These unstable DAW's can make you a nervous wreck. Even to today I do quick, non-conscious Control Saves after each change even if it's minor.
