just installed Mulab9, midi out from my Midimate EX is umpredictable, it works for a few min and stop, or get stuck on other non-focused channels
with Mulab 8 I never had problems ... any thoughts ?

I'm not sure what you mean. Please explain in more detail, maybe sharing a little video demonstrating the issue.

I'll try to explain
the Midimate EX works with 2 connectors, which active sensing communicate if they are output or input, so 32 channels in or 32 outs or 16 in+ 16 outs
while the sound modules (internal synths or plugins) works correctly, when I set an empty track connected to event output1 (midimate), the interface receive the midi input but it outputs no midi signal.
I just reinstalled my old Midisport 2x2 and it works perfectly.
(maybe my midimate is dead, but I can't check it no way by now)

So it works all fine with one MIDI interface (Midisport) but not with another (Midimate)?
Doesn't that mean that the issue is outside MuLab?

Thx. If you would have additional info regarding that MIDI out issue and you have reasons to think it's something on MuLab 9's side, let me know.
