Kilohearts Updates the Entire Kilohearts Ecosystem to v2 - Including Phase Plant

hmmm... can't seem to update beyond 1.8.24, with the latest installer/updater.

Anyone else having this problem?

You have to download a custom installer every time you update from your account at the KH web site.

I only see a standard Installer (which claims to be 2.0.0) on my KH Profile page, right below all my Licences: Plugins/Content Banks/Subscriptions - Order history: etc... sections.

Is there a different installer I'm not seeing somewhere?

No, that it- I just downloaded and ran that and it worked for me.

It doesn't matter which installer you are using, it's just a small app to connect to your account. Just make sure that you're system is online. The installer connects, sees what updates you are missing, you run the installer, done.

Ok, cool update. But when they announced V2 last fall, I bought everything I was missing, to support the effort. But now they say, much of the stuff is free, but if you bought in the last 3 mo send us an email and we'll make it up for you.

So they now give away the 30 effect plugins, that previously they were selling individually each.

I was against that practice anyway, but I relented and bought them all, NOW they change the plan and give them away.

This company make a great synth, but whoever is running their sales and marketing needs to stop the drugs they are on.

Brilliant stuff, brilliant update! A long time coming, a lot of work, but sooo worth it!! I also made nearly 200 factory presets for Snap Heap, and Multi-pass. Check them out!!

The new factory presets definitely add a lot to the Snapheap/multipass KHS ecosystem and really show off what the new modulation and newish snap ins can do.

Though its perplexing to see that there are almost no new presets to demo the newer snapins / new features of PhasePlant 2? It would be great to see Arturia regulars like yourself let loose to see how far this new version can go.

How do i do a clean reinstall?
Sometimes stuff breaks. A clean reinstall often helps with most problems. Here's how to do it:

1. First off, if you installed any third-party Content Banks you will need to reinstall them after this procedure. Make sure you still have the .bank files on hand.

2. Start the Kilohearts Installer, and click on the Uninstall tab. Uninstall all plugins, then close the installer.

3. Find and delete your entire Kilohearts folder.

Mac: /Library/Application Support/Kilohearts
Windows: C:\ProgramData\Kilohearts
ProgramData is a hidden folder, so make sure you enable "see hidden files" in your file browser.

4. Download the installer again. See the top of this page.

5. The installer will no longer remember you, so you will need to authenticate again. The easiest way is to paste any single valid license key you own. You can find all your license keys on your profile page.

6. Install as normal.

While this method will very often take care of any problems, there are still some files that might linger. If something is still wrong please email support@kilohearts.com and we will be happy to help.

Thanks for this, though I ended up downloading their "offline" installer (1.5gb) instead: https://kilohearts.com/data/install/offline/win

...and running that solved my problem.

It also seemed to goose their system somehow... so now even the (previously not working) online installer, recognizes the latest updates.

I just got my first subscription voucher but of course the shop won't accept in with the sale price (comes out the same as the sale anyway) so how long does it last for if I want to use it for something else later?

Ok so this worked out rather nicely - I always saw the subscription basically as a way of saving for Phaseplant but now since it was on sale for the same amount I would have saved with the voucher anyway I used it for Multipass instead, and even got a $30 voucher back for buying Phaseplant so put that to Convolution reverb which was the only premium effect I really wanted. So now I don't need the sub any more. Not a fan of subscriptions but in this case it works well.

I cannot see that they're offering 30 effect plugins for free with phaseplant v2 on their website. It still says "Essential Effects included".

If they are really included for 99 dollars (sale), then I will buy it.

I get similar feeling. I've been buying those single snapins each time they were available (until I've upgraded to Ultimate) and now all are free.
However, it seems they've risen the prices for other (premium they call it?) plugins. Maybe they will honor customers like us when they release new plugs?

Nevertheless, great update Kilohearts, also great sale for those who weren't into kH/PP yet
