I've just downloaded the free Tracktion software and I like it LOTS! Only problem is that it won't use about 30 of my plug-ins, Kontakt 1.5.3 being one of 'em and being a much used plug in at that....any one got any ideas, maybe uninstalling and reinstalling, would that do it?

Other than that what a breath of fresh sequencer air, Jules!

Kontakt runs perfectly in my Tracktion, i use it in almost every song. I am using a bought Tracktion license, but since only the licenses differ that can't make a difference.

What do you mean by can't use it' ?
It gives an error ?
or you don't see it in your flter overview ?
If you don't see it, you hvae to add the directory in your plugin settings and rescan.

Just to make sure, you are using the VST version of Kontakt right?
Cause Tracktion does not work with DXi.

Im quoting this from another thread. It might help you get sorted out.

You probably just have your plug-ins in a folder that Tracktion doesnt know about. So go to the settings tab, then hit the plug-ins button, now click on "add path" and look for the folder that has all your VST's in it.
After you point tracktion to your vst folder click on "rescan plug-in directory" and make sure you choose complete scan. That should update the vst list in Tracktion.

what actually happens?wjec wrote:Thanks all for your suggestions but I've tried all of those options...very weird..maybe using something like Xlutop Chainer would do it?
You need to give a little info here if you want troubleshotting advice.
Are you saying that Tracktion can't find your plugins?
Or are you saying that they are all getting added to the ignore list?
Or are you saying they are found OK, but when you try to add them to edits you get errors or crashes?
(I'm guessing you are using a PC right?)
