1. How do you reopen edit files if the projects have been moved without using the move project function on the project page?
2. Is there a way to open edit files without opening the project file first?
3. How do you get Waveform to search for and find the missing files after moving them around?
4. Also, is there a chart or something that tells you how many ticks each standard note duration needs or how do you change the quantize/ticks display from straight notes to triplet display for example?
Using Waveform 11.5 on PC.

Hi Sweaty,
Been there.
1. Use the Open Project... button in the lower left of the Projects tab, which will bring you to a standard Windows file browser. Upon finding your project, it will now appear in the pane on the left.
2. The project needs to be opened first, as you can have multiple edits going in the same project.
3. See step 1.
4. Not sure what you mean by "standard note duration." If you're looking for setting the length of a note in the MIDI editor, you can right click on the "len" button on the bottom center of the MIDI editor window. As for triplets, you can right-click on the "snap" button right next to "len," and Triplet is the second option.
If you're not seeing this, it might be because some of these are v12 shortcuts. If that's the case, let me know and I'll open 11.5 and see how to do it.
If you're asking about how long a tick is in Waveform, it supports 960 ppqn.
So the standard formula is (60000)/(bpm*960) = tick length in milliseconds.
Therefore, a 120bpm project is (60000)/(120*960), or .521 milliseconds per tick.

so, i've been able to open project files but still haven't figured out how to open edit files after they've been moved. tried the file search in the browser to the left of the arrangement window but as you probably know it doesn't list the edit files there. can you instruct me on how to do this?

The edit should be stored in the same folder or directory as the project.
Sweatysong.tracktion = the project file
Sweatysong Edit 1.tracktionedit = the edit
What you're probably seeing in your Projects tab:
Project file located on the far left...
In the "All items in project" pane in the second column is "Sweatysong Edit 1" and two question marks: ??
1. Quit out of Waveform
2. Drag the Sweatysong Edit 1.tracktionedit file back into the project folder
3. Relaunch Waveform
4. Go back to the Projects tab...
...and there it is! Double-click it to open it, and everything should be back.
Remember, though, that Waveform looks to the associated folders (Archived, Exported, Imported, Recorded, Rendered), so that if you had audio clips in Recorded or Imported, you'll want to make sure you've those files returned to their folders, or you'll see "File Missing" warnings on clips that linked to them.
