Yes but if you allow more bend, then you can do fretless type slides on an mpe controller, note to note. It's much more natural and a great use of mpe devices. Also, you could simultaneously play an open note and slide another note. Simply by moving from one note to the other other. Like with a real fretless bass. Again, I'd ask, why limit it when there is a use case. Plus physical modeling is much more realistic with physical modeling than samples, so it's a shame that modo bass doesn't allow bigger pitch bends as the method for doing slides. I would argue that performing a slide at exactly the speed you want by physically sliding between the notes you want to play, is much more natural than triggering an articulation based on velocity and legato or a keyswitch or something.
