Hi
Is it possible that BlueArp will detect the chord (in any inversion) and play a power chord?
E.g.
Playing notes {F4, A4, D5} (Dm) will trigger the notes D4 and A4,
Playing notes {F4, Bb4, D5} (Bb) will trigger the notes Bb3 and F4,

Yes, you choose "chord normalized" algo as the input chord detection method.Dadi wrote: Sat May 28, 2022 11:28 am Hi

And in the "step sequencer grid window" place the Rt and the K3. (Root & 5th note of a chord).
You might need to double the octave of the root note, by enabling Octave polyphonic toggle "3 lines". So the final result will spit out like this: Root, 5th, root oct+

I can select either Rt or K3 but not both, and still the whole chord is outputted.phreaque wrote: Sat May 28, 2022 11:45 am And in the "step sequencer grid window" place the Rt and the K3. (Root & 5th note of a chord).
I probably missing something here.

Ah you want chords. Then select "chord" in the step sequencer.

Chord was already selected, chord normalized input also selected.phreaque wrote: Sat Jun 04, 2022 1:39 pm Ah you want chords. Then select "chord" in the step sequencer.
So back to my original question, how can I output a power chord, root+fifth?
(e g I press a full chord with 3 or 4 keys like Dm7, and it should outputs only the notes D, A)?

What I was missing is the small button with the horizontal yellow stripes which switches between single note to multiple notes.
Thank you!

I am having trouble with BlueARP in Monterey 12.4. Have you tested on that update? The plugin isn't showing up (for me) in Logic Pro even after rescanning multiple times. Spent a couple hours with Apple tech support making sure it wasn't a Mac/Monterey issue.graywolf2004 wrote: Sat Jan 08, 2022 6:50 pm Update: BlueARP v2.3.8

(I have a new website)
ChangeLog:
1. Apple M1 silicon compatible - all OSX packages are compiled as Universal binaries
(both x86_64 and arm64), so they will run natively on M1 macs but will keep running
on Intel macs as before. M1 versions were tested on OSX 12.0.1 Monterey
Thanks for your great work on this plugin. I know it's a labor of love. And...I love it!

And you're using it as a MIDI FX correct?danwpc wrote: Sun Jun 12, 2022 7:07 pmI am having trouble with BlueARP in Monterey 12.4. Have you tested on that update? Or, it doesn't appear at all in Plug-in Manager within Logic?
v2.3.8 working here under Monterey 12.4 + Logic Pro 10.7.4

Yes, was using as MIDI FX. Doesn't appear at all in plugin mgr. for me. But it does for you. That's good. I've reinstalled a couple of times. I walked through installation with an Apple tech doing it on his computer and he couldn't get it to show up either. Hm. Obviously, I'm missing something this time around...

Yeah, something odd for certain. IIRC when the 2.3.8 update was pushed, I couldn't get an installation to complete because something was off with the resource being signed. I mentioned it some pages back, along with some other users, and he had it sorted in a day or so with assistance from Shane @PluginGuru. Not what you're describing at all. You probably did the old school restart too - did you try running in Rosetta mode first to let AU Manager scan it? I'm guessing you did. Frustrating for you, no doubt.danwpc wrote: Thu Jun 16, 2022 3:12 pm Yes, was using as MIDI FX. Doesn't appear at all in plugin mgr. for me. But it does for you. That's good. Yes, tried all of the above (Rosetta, rebooting, reinstall). Is there any reason to use 2.3.7? I'm not getting any of the aforementioned security messages, so assuming I should run the latest version, if I can get it to work. Thx. I'll probably try again tomorrow. I need to recover some sequenced data, at the very least. If necessary, I'll boot my Intel Mac (now wiped clean for selling) and reinstall Logic and BlueArp so I can translate the patterns into MIDI data (using the IRC bus trick) and then send them to myself in an email.
