I recorded a guitar with 3 microphones and i want to edit the comp for those all those 3 tracks at once. I created an edit group but i can only use edits like cut , split, paste , volumes, pan etc. when i hit the show takes i can only see multiple takes for one track.
Is possible to edit all 3 at once?
Thanks

You can select all the tracks you need, and then in the properties panel add those to a "Named comp group" to do normal comping.

(I'd never actually tried before, but worked on a quick test. Select all of the tracks with content, and you can then render the comp to a new track if you need to - but don't need to do so)

Thanks for your help, i will try.
what about the tracks recording in non loop mode, i get audio overlapping the previous takes! its very annoying!

I tried to use the comp group but seems it does not do what i was asking for.
I want to be able to record multiple tracks of the same instrument, mic 1, mic 2 and mic 3. When im making the comp i want to be able to select different takes for all 3 tracks.
What this comp group is doing is making a time selection for portions of time of the 3 tracks and using that as a comp. I believe from what i´ve been reading this is not possible , even in 12 Pro (the one i am using now the 90 days trial)

That's what comping is designed for - taking several "takes" of a performance and selecting the portions of each that are the best ones; and then making a single unified track out of them. When you RECORD takes as individual tracks pre-comping from multiple mikes on separate tracks, you will get 3 and POTENTIALLY challenging as the levels and tone may not be the same on each.

Not sure EXACTLY what you want - comping is well-defined in what it is intended to accomplish.

I cannot explain better, i believe i have tried my best. Sorry , non English speaker here

-How do you comp a performance of a guitar recorded with 3 microphones all at once ?

-Why when in loop mode i record 4 takes of something and only one track shows multiple takes, all the others show only one take (first one)?

-Why when in non loop mode audio plays previous and the last recorded , overlaped audio in the same track, do i need to set the recording as a new take ? is not automatic ?

My understanding of the question: Comping (and recording in loop mode) is not good with multiple inputs, even with 2 mics. When you're comping, you want to get the best combination of takes. So you work on the mic 1 recording, picking and choosing what sounds best. Got a great track now. Move on to mic 2 recording... how do you pick exactly the same notes from different takes? The point of multiple mics is to get the best sound, NOT to create 2 or more multiple guitar parts at once. An answer I've run across is to combine all the takes from all the recordings into one multi-take track, but then when you grab the parts you want you're only getting 1 mic at a time.

There's no way I've found in Waveform to Comp across multi-mic recordings of one instrument. So either get it right the first time, or maybe do several takes and pick take 3, for example, across all the different mic recordings. Anything more quickly gets too complex.
