tell me about it. I’m weighing things up for a desk and kb stand reorg.

When the new arms for my stand get here I’ll check out if there’s any way to get a case on there. Tricky as they didn’t give the case square edges, it curves.
I missed what kind of 'stand' and arms, but... the rubber (I'm assuming) pad attaching points appear to have conveniently threaded holes for coming up from underneath, with longer screws. OR, drill them out, and run a screw/bolt-nut from the top, into/through what-ever material. [2c]

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

Yeah, you're absolutely right. I'd not noticed that. I'll see if there's a way to do that, would be great if I could stick a rack on my stand. Could integrate the Neutron and Model D Boog too.

The MS-1 I ordered turned out to be a MS-101. Old skool! But, brand new or at least looked it.
It's been making friends with my modular and having a rare old time. Amazing how many different great sounds you can get from one basic oscillator.

Got one of these on the way.

Currently no rack room, but I’m shuffling things around.

Seems a lot of people buy these then regret it as it’s hard to plan what you get out of them, settings one day seem to work differently the next time. So, that’ll be fun. I think that’s a bit like the Akemie’s Taiko and I love that. Not going into this cold though, already own the plugin version.

It's mostly a percussion module. It works really well when you can sequence or modulate a bunch of parameters, so you're constantly flipping it between kick, snare, hats and hybrid stuff.

It doesn't sustain, and most of the range of the attack knob is for dialing in noise or click transients rather than slowing the attack time. You can use it for drones if you trigger it at audio rate, though.

Personally I didn't get along with it -- to me it felt like it always wanted to steer me toward badass kick drum sounds and that's just not what I needed from it. But I'm happy to have the plugin version now so I can still fire it up sometimes.

ah! that rings a bell! maybe i saw it was percussion and thought "not for me!"
thats some pennies saved for elesewhere then :D

cheers :tu:

Yeah mainly used for percussion and drums, but can do passable bass lines and even lead arp pulse stuff too.
I imagine it'll frustrate me greatly, but could end up with some fun stuff even if I have to sample loops off it to get anything concrete and useful.

yeah for sure, nothing against noise engineering here, my issue is drums

They do have the software versions, but their vcos will never sound exactly the same as the
HW due to the fixed point chip they use in them.

I'm not sure about Loquelic, or Virt Iter if it ever comes out -- but their other hardware VCOs change their sample rate along with the frequency. Manis Iteritas sounds quite a bit different from the SawX algo in the Virt Vereor plugin and Microfreak.

Speaking of Manis, I think I'm letting that one and EnOsc go. I've got a Dreadbox Antidote on the way now and plan to pick up Koszalin when that's out. Maybe a Hel, and... I don't know what the other 3HP will do (or 7HP if I let go of a blank).

Bought a Matrixbrute (again).
2nd hand but what the hell, I've only got two hands anyway.
I'm tired of being insane. I'm going outsane for some fresh air.
