im pretty new to traktion and want to use a single plugin (nova desser) on multiple tracks (12 in total). the only way i see to do this is to wrap the plugin into a rack and add the tracks i want to use it on, however the more tracks i add to the rack the more the volume increases and distorts the overall audio. do i have the wrong idea??

If you are wanting to route 12 tracks through one single plugin, you might want to create a submix folder. You can then add the plugin to the primary submix track. This is probably what most people would think of as a bus - or a buss if you're fond of Ss.
Are you really wanting one plugin to accept the audio from all those tracks? You almost certainly can't route all that audio into one plugin and have them come out separated on the other end unless the plugin is coded to work that way. Are you referring to TDR Nova or is it something else? I couldn't find a "nova desser" when I did a search.

Surely there must be consensus by now...

I think you might just want to add a copy of your plugin to each of the 12 tracks.
Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and even Deezer, whatever the hell Deezer is.

The reason that you're getting a volume increase is because you've got more volume going into the plugin, ie up to 12 times as much volume; you're mixing those tracks together, so the volume is being summed.thyo wrote: Wed Jun 08, 2022 11:49 pm im pretty new to traktion and want to use a single plugin (nova desser) on multiple tracks (12 in total). the only way i see to do this is to wrap the plugin into a rack and add the tracks i want to use it on, however the more tracks i add to the rack the more the volume increases and distorts the overall audio. do i have the wrong idea??
So you need to reduce the total volume of that mix.
And be aware that if the plugin only has a stereo output, the signal you'll get out of that plugin is probably a mix of all 12 tracks, sent to whatever outputs you select.
BTW If you send that back to all 12 tracks, you'll have 12 copies of that mix of 12 tracks. That'll be louder still.
