So guys, Melda support told me to try this one instead of Msuperlooper for looping. Please see attached screenshot for the current settings I have on my screen. It's looping but not exactly in the way the other loopers are doing it.

Is anyone here using this plugin and can help me adjust it's settings to loop with 1/4, 1/8, 1/16 beats please? Meaning i need like the 1/4 beat to loop continuosly [which it is not doing] until I bypass it.

I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve and how other loopers work, but here's a setting that repeats the first 1/4 of each bar 4 times.

i simply need a looping or repeater plugin which will allow me to click on different beats [14/18/1/16 e.t.c] to loop continuously until I disengage it, That is all. The Instalooper plugin does this very effectively for my purpose but sadly it does not work with "my" specific Reaper project and I cannot find anyone anywhere who can troubleshoot the issue.

So I am hoping this plugin might be able to do it.

Ideally if I can manipulate MRhythmizer's GUI in any way to show those beats and allow me to click on any of them, this would be my best option. Like the way instalooper's GUI is laid out, think any of this is possible please?

I don't know Instalooper, so still don't understand what you're looking for. But if you load the "General" preset, there's a bunch of options for repeating notes.

Post

Thx, right, when I click on any of the repeats it is repeating but problems for me is the tune continues playing while you hear the loop on the background. When I loop a beat "on the fly" in any other software you only hear the looped piece over and over, is there any way to do the same here please?

As for Instalooper I click on any of those loop sizes and it will loop it over and over, sorry I cannot explain this in any other way.

I don't think what you're asking for is possible with MRhythmizer. You can turn the speed down to 1/4x and it will repeat for times as often (you also need to increase the Repeat by 4), but that's it.

That's not what MRhythmizer is built for. It's weird that support suggested it to you. I've never used MSuperLooper, so I can't help you there either. Sorry.

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. I have just about explored every possible plugin option so nothing else for me to pursue. thanks for trying to help me though, I appreciate it. :) Take it easy guys.

I'm sure vojtech will chime in. I'm not understanding this thread because I haven't used these plugins.

Have you tried looking at any glitch-style plugins, such as Sugar Bytes Turnado or iZotope Stutter Edit? If I'm understanding Instalooper correctly all you're looking for is a simple buffer-repeat style effect that you can switch between different note lengths? Both of these plugins can do that (and much more besides). Here's a little demo vid for you:

At the start there I'm just grabbing Turnado's knobs with the mouse, but then I switch to controlling it from my MIDI controller part way through, which is a lot easier and more responsive. Great thing about Turnado is that you can set each knob to a different buffer loop length (as I have with knobs 1-3), or set one knob to control all the values, depending on how far you turn it (knob 4).

Stutter Edit it similar, but not as good IMO. It's designed to be triggered via notes from a MIDI keyboard, but in the video I'm just clicking on the notes in the preset bank to trigger each effect.

At the end I've demonstrated some of the effects in Turnado's Slice Arranger, which is tons of fun, and way more interesting than basic stutters.

Both plugins on sale right now. Turnado £50 over on Plugin Boutique (until 30th June):

Stutter Edit just £10 until 3rd July:

WOWEE, thanks a million Benny G, for doing all of this for me, you've nailed it,that is exactly all I need!! I will be trying this out in a little while on my actual Reaper project and will get back to you.

My plan is to trigger all of my fav fx from my phone via TouchOSC, right now I am triggering Melda MReverb and BBD, last now is to trigger the loop beats at different sizes. Do you think Stutter Edit will be better for my purpose please since I won't need to adjust any parameters but rather only click and hold each loop size as needed?

Can you tell me how to get the "Init Bank" option to get those clickable loop size options showing in your video please as I am not seeing that in the drop down menu in the Demo?
Screenshot_10.png

This is what I am seeing on my end but nothing showing as "Init Bank".

Sure, here you go:

Thank you but sorry I cannot see any of the options after 11 seconds, I tried expanding to full screen and it's blurry both on my Mac and windows pc. Maybe you can tell me what to click instead after 11 seconds might be easier please?

Did you set YouTube quality to 1080p? It'll be impossible to view unless you're watching on full screen and HD quality.

All I'm doing is going into the preset browser and loading the "TEMPLATES AND STARTING POINTS" preset from the "Bass, Beats and Instruments" folder inside Factory Banks.

Then hover over "Basic Stutter Creator" on the A2 key, click on the 3 dots and select "duplicate into new bank". That gives you an empty bank with just the stutter effect on that one key. Then you can duplicate that key onto as many other keys as you need, and edit the stutter length on each one (you need to exit out of the browser onto the main interface for this step). You'll also want to turn palindrome looping off for every key (which is what I'm doing at the end of the video).

Than again for your efforts! Yes I have set the quality to 1080 so can see it clearly now.

Problem, When I click on "Templates and Starting Points", nothing happens in the right pane as it does in your video so I am not seeing A2 option, only options showing in that right pane list are all of those BT_ entries and these C0, C1 up to C8?
