I don't know Windows and can't comment on that.. But on Mac OS every program has an information menu/window "About this program".

Just realized, and forgive me if I missed this, there is no about box in the windows versions, am I wrong?

The 'Support' page functions as the about box.
On macOS it is mandatory to open a dialog for the about box. Just like on my Atari ST 37 years ago. But that was fun so many years ago.

RapidComposer v4.4b15 is available!

Minor fixes in this one.

Improvements:

• 'Limit length' option added when a MIDI file is dropped on the phrase or rhythm browser
• A counter is attached to the dragged file name, so files will be named as MIDIMutator 01.mid, MIDIMutator 02.mid, etc
• Fixed VSTi plugin instantiation issue in the MIDI Mutator
• Fixed crash when pressing the Apply button if the edited phrases were deleted

Thanks Attila, I would somehow survive the wrong version designation)))) but the fact is that this is really 4.3.4, not 4.4.0 beta. And by the way, I really want to go back to Atari sometimes) Yeah)) Now I'll try beta 15))

I am so sorry, lulukom, that I caused such a confusion!
I accidentally built the stable version but the about box had the wrong version number.
I am building beta15 and will make sure everything is fine.

Hi Attila. I'll try to explain .. In the Programs folder, RC (as shown by the info window) 4.4.0 was installed. OK . But if I open it, I see 4.3.4. Also, if I open not a standalone program, but a composition file .rcCOMP , the standalone 4.3.4 still opens. Where does 4.3.4 come from if 4.4.0 is installed? Only 4.4.0 is installed in the Programs folder. I uninstalled the RC, reinstalled and rebooted the Mac. With Vst the same.

Attila, thank you. beta 15 solved the problem. Opened as beta 15.

What happened yesterday is that I turned off building beta versions temporarily, and then I forgot to restore that setting. This affected macOS only, I am sorry!

Hi Mike,

I did the following: if you edited any phrase previously, and then you drop a MIDI file in the Mutator, the Apply button will still work on the original phrase in the composition.
The workflow became simpler:
- add any phrase of any size to where you want to insert the mutator phrase
- Shift-double-click to open it in the Mutator
- drop a MIDI file
- press Apply with chords/scales

Please re-download beta15 if you have already downloaded it.

I can see the advantage of being able to edit any phrase in the mutator so maybe it's about finding a way of getting a directly dragged file into the composition with associated chords / key.

Also, I would probably like to add a "Drop midi file for learning harmony" to the Chords tab, as well as a chord complexity fader up to 13. Thanks.

I do not like the work of the Velocity button in the Mutator. Sound changes occur only after Stop and a new start of Playback.

Well, first of all, we are talking about Mac Os. I just turned on a detailed search on the disk with the name RapidComposer and found only one file - and this is the RC 4.4.0 program.

That just means he never updated that dialog box in the code.. I still think it's the wrong link. How did you check for more than one copy of the application exe?
