Wait, actually a simple solution would be to have an audio plugin display the current project time with an option to offset it. If there's a MUX module for that, that would be perfect. I'll make a plugin for this at some point if MuLab doesn't have something already.
Edit: Also I just realized my time signature would not be the same since there's a small delay before where I want to mark 0:00. So an audio plugin that simply displays time will be more practical because I can then dial in the exact time offset.

This is so that when you export, your time signature on the mp3 matches the time in the project. This is very desirable when working on music with someone or even just getting comments on the music.
I want to set where 0:00 and bar 1 starts, what comes before is negative time, skip 0th bar and start -1.
For example, I need a guitar strum to come in at the very beginning. I need some notes to start right before 0:00, I need some wiggle room before 0:00.
If you were curious about the image here's the music: Argitoth - Kill Bill.mp3 (all synthesis except for drums)

Workaround:
"Export Composition As Audio File
Renders all audio in the current composition into an audio file.
Only the selected clips are rendered. If no clips are selected, then if you have set a Composition loop, only the loop region is rendered. Else everything is rendered. "
Try looping the composition starting where you want to be your 0:00 and then use "export composition as audio file", if it doesn't catch your guitar strum then render it by itself and combine both audio clips.

...wat.
again, an audio plugin or MUX display module with an input for time offset would be the best.

I understood it that you want to trigger a sound before the composition starts, so that the sound releases into it, isn't it?Architeuthis wrote: Fri Jun 10, 2022 7:11 pm For example, I need a guitar strum to come in at the very beginning. Btw, I can't play nor download your track to audition it for some reason.

I want some wiggle room at the start of the composer to have some pre-start-time triggers, for example, the strum of a guitar. And the reason for not just moving everything forward in time to have some wiggle room is that the time signature no longer matches the export. So, a plugin that displays time with user-settable offset would be ideal.humanboeing wrote: Fri Jun 10, 2022 8:43 pmI understood it that you want to trigger a sound before the composition starts, so that the sound releases into it, isn't it?
I triple checked the link, it's a working link with settings to "share with anyone who has link". I shortened the link text by giving it a title if that helps.humanboeing wrote: Fri Jun 10, 2022 8:43 pmBtw, I can't play nor download your track to audition it for some reason.
