But let's be positive: With CLAP, it is actually easy to properly support NoteExpressions and have time stamped parameter changes. Its took us a day to get these implemented in our code base. There's still some way to go and some testing / optimising to do, but it is a start. So with a properly developed wrapper, we will finally have these features in VST3 as well.![]()
Still i think it's better to opt for CLAP-to-AUv3, i don't think AUv2 will be alive for much longer.
Or hope that Apple supports CLAP if all other major DAWs will
CLAP 1.0 betas for ACE, Diva, Hive, MFM 2.5

yeah, but i dont think they will adopt an open source container for music software. Maybe they will...but, i don't think so. Upper level components in Darwin aren't opensource (carbon for instance).koalaboy wrote: Thu Jun 16, 2022 1:02 pmYou realise Darwin is open source, right ?exmatproton wrote: Thu Jun 16, 2022 1:00 pm no..clap is open source. Thanks for the head's up.
...and not to dunk on Steinberg just for the sake of it, but I stopped updating Cubase as a result of some things I'm not happy with around VST2/VST3, have been happily using Reaper full-time for a few years now, and this is kind of where my "what otherwise would've been Cubase money" ended up going. I'm sure I'm the minority of "Cubase users" and some people love it, but the cooler company that is on board with this new standard (largely behind it) with the more fun, modern DAW got the money.

Apple has no problem with open source. They have a problem with open source with a license that they cannot monetize. The MIT license does not have that issue.exmatproton wrote: Thu Jun 16, 2022 1:00 pm no..clap is open source. I dont think apple will adopt that

Is there a way to do audio rate modulation via Bitwig's polyphonic modulators? Would this work in Bazille?
