How is the v16 beta going for m1 / Logic users?

I've had enough issues with the 15.01 install on my new m1 mini / Monterey / Logic 10.7.4 system. That I've just shelved it for now as I get backup drive system in order, sort out some other licenses, etc.

My next step will likely be to try and see if the v16 beta install solves any of these issues. Before I do that, does anyone on here have any feedback about v16 on m1 / Logic?

Any comparisons to issues of stability, Logic load time, etc vs v15?

Seems about the same for Windows 11/Reaper. I have my melda samples uninstalled right now so I can't say whether there's any optimization there.

Or was it always this bad and I just didn't realize it because my old system was slow and had other issues loading?

I've got almost all of my plugs loaded now which is over 500 including the Waves pack. Waves appears to be the only other set of plugs that is causing any delay at launch at all... and still nowhere near the delay from Melda. Waves delays loading by maybe 15 seconds. Melda is several minutes.

Since Waves has it's own central authorization scheme, this makes me wonder if this is something to do with the auth systems each uses... or at least for an offline computer like mine.

If no resolution, I'll have to uninstall and maybe try the beta since I've tried everything else at this point.

I don't think there's any harm in trying the beta but I think your 32-bit versions will be wiped.

Annabanna, this is the 3rd post I can see about the same issue, please do not do that... better to contact me directly, but considering I'm using the same setup and don't have any issues, it's either some specific project of yours (please send) or your macOS is f** up. BTW. my MBPro actually had a f** up OS on it, it was doing some really weird stuff. I reinstalled, all fine now...

Posting about same issue? Only after trying several different fixes, and then having different questions.

Before I even asked at all, I had already done a fresh OS install, installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled all melda plugins.

I have since reinstalled from scratch 15.00, 15.01, 15.02, and now finally 16.00 (beta) deleting the AU cache and restarting each time.

I have no idea why since I don't see anything in the release notes that I can attribute it to, but it looks like installing the 16.00 beta fixed the issue. Launch times are measured in seconds again. Now the 15s or so Waves adds is the only holdup.

Ok cool. Well, honestly on macOS it's a mess, nobody knows for sure what is going on under the hood there. It's like always 99% people are fine and then someone has some really weird issues, which are then fixed by, well, usually nobody knows
