That’s great…yes midi grid came a bit latter as well so I am sure it will come and it isn’t a show stopper for me…Bitwig (and Live) didn’t have any type of comping until recently!
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

That's promising news about the MIDI comping. Hope it's not too far away.

One thing I'd rather like to see is some feature that goes into the direction of live looping. Playing around with Endlesss Studio I wish something like that available in Bitwig.
It's the other way around. In Bitwig I first have to start recording into a clip and the launch it so that it is looped. In Endlesss there is this buffer that is permanently 'recording' and I can say: Loop the last e.g. 4 bars I just played and it will do so immediately. Also in Endlesss there is this really cool concept of 'targets' -> you can select multiple of the loops, process them through a common effect and then loop the output. Then the new 'merged' loop automatically replaces the old loops.
In Bitwig something like this is (almost?) Impossible to achieve. But if implemented, it should play together with the clip launcher so that it automatically puts the loops into launcher clips one can edit later.

On Beta 7, when I add Convolution, the audio cuts out on that track

Anyone else having this?

Thanks... I quit Bitwig and restarted and now Convolution works. Something had gone quite wrong before I quit.

I'm considering an M2 laptop in the near future.
This CLAP thing is changing all my future plans with the other DAW and the way I make music.
Love your Hive sample and the one from Polarity. Good food for thoughs....

Same, MIDI comping is currently my #1 feature request, as I love to just jam out on MIDI and then be able to comp together my favorite parts of the take (in Live). I know I can currently just record the output of the midi track to audio, but that's more cumbersome to setup, and also not as convenient as you would have to cut audio reverb tails to mix and match takes which isn't ideal. Though, I think for the community its more of a priority to have handled audio comping as that's a much bigger deal. But now that we have that, It feels like MIDI comping is on deck.

Fingers crossed that its in v4.4 or 4.5 (or at least in the plans for bitwig 5.0) :tu:

I've got the M1-Pro MBP. Plenty powerful for my needs and stays cool and quiet! I very much disliked the near constant fan noise on my Intel MBP. This is the best laptop I ever had!

Here is an ACE example... using a couple of Bitwig's ParSeq-8 modulators (per voice) to do some parameter sequencing (kinda like p-locks on Elektron boxes) of various parameters. Could not have done this in ACE before CLAP!

This is nice when working with rectangular lines but kinda off
- No axis locking for points?
- Why do we need a modifier? Live does this based on mouse position and it works pretty smooth
- Why three segments are highlighted? It's logically right but the middle one is what people focus on.

I'm pretty sure they don't have any UX designer.

Between all the cool Bitwig modulators, the unlimited number of them, and the various parameters that cannot be modulated in ACE by itself but can be by Bitwig modulators, ACE is a significantly more capable synth!

Here is a variation of #5 above

I really hope they add some CLAP extension that allows plugins to offer modulation sources to the host. So that I can use the internal mod sources from Hive, Bazille etc. to control devices in their post Fx chain (in addition to the audio outputs).

Me too! Another thing that would be really cool and seems very bitwig is a device that lets you sequence multiple effects from one interface like sugar bytes looperator/effectrix but you can drop any vst into each slot, you could set this up with step modulators but this kind of interface would be a lot better to use
