DrivenByMoss: Bitwig extension for many hardware controllers (version 26.6.1)

Hi there Moss...appreciate the great work. This may be something interesting....A Bitwig script for the new Orba 2 by Artiphon. This new version of the Orba would be perfect for a Bitwig script to control the many ways of making sounds with the Orba2 device. Think some scripts have already been written for some of the other DAW's. thoughts?

I was not aware that this device can be used as a controller. Can it? What would you expect it to control?

I had the original one for a while, but would jump on the new one if it could be used w. Bitwig. I;m using your Novation and NI Driven by Moss and thought this Orba would be right in your sweetzone and a fun little project for you

I guess the normal Bitwig mapping should be sufficient for this kind of application (use with any Generic Driver).

Hi,
I am a new bitwig user and can not get the screens or pots on the Maschine MK3 to work at all. Everything else works as it should in driven by moss. The pots are weird as I can't even manually map them to anything. Everything else w/ the script works. I have tried everything including mapping the mcu button as shown in the old video.
As an interesting aside I also cannot get the screens to function in the scipt provided by bitwig themselves.
Is this something that was broken in a bitwig update?

Just checked and it works fine. Installing and loading the necessary Maschine template is a bit tricky. I documented the necessary steps in section 19.1 in the DrivenByMoss manual.

This was indeed an issue of user error. For anyone else who encounters this.
The template will load but not load completely from the menu right screen of the maschine mk3. The template must be loaded from the menu on the left screen to take full effect.

Hi I like my fire with Bitwig so much Im thinking over getting an Akai Force. Any users out there? are there any limitations that would move you to a push 2 with bitwig instead? can you record automation using the force? Do the clip colors match whats on the screen with Bitwig? Does the sequencer work well? How often do I have to use the mouse? I dont see any complete Bitwig/force videos out there.

That's all there is to know:


It is mainly a mix controller. Nothing more but nothing less. If you want sequencing and play modes absolutely get the Push. Push 1 will do as well.

2. With Ableton, it's possible to temporarily switch modes by pressing and holding a mode button. For example, I could play something in "Note" mode, temporarily switch to "Session" mode to launch a clip and then continue playing in "Note" mode. Something like that would be really useful.

I also tried the last DrivenByMoss 16.4, which unfortunately brought no change. I've also played back and forth with the NI services and various USB ports... Any ideas? Thanks in advance

So, it does work with 4.2.5? Does it work with Komplete standalone?

Hi Jürgen, Komplete standalone was a very good hint. With Komplete Kontrol standalone it worked fine. Nevertheless, I reinstalled Komplete Kontrol from Native Access and now everything works again. Thank you very much!

Hi. I seem to be observing that when I use DBM for the Novation Launchkey 25 I am not able to record into Bitwig CC messages sent from Pad or Knob custom modes.

Does DBM for the Novation Launchkey 25 automatically discard all incoming CC data? If so, is this optional/configurable, or is it the hard-fact way-it-is?
