Still not fixed, im staying away from this plugin cause it can really scare you when you come up with nice track from it and next day you realise the thing DID NOT SAVE ANY OF ITS SOUNDS... thats horrifying and its too bad cause it has very nice capabilities to create sounds, lots of layers.

7 months later and “the next release” is still not out? The software is unusable in its current form and the dev has just been sitting on the fix for 7 months.Nils Schneider wrote: Sun Nov 14, 2021 12:19 amWhat plugin format do you use, VST3 x64 by any chance?pl4sma2389 wrote: Sat Nov 13, 2021 1:16 am My DAW (Tracktion Waveform 11 Free) isn't reloading the bank, page
I already fixed this locally, will be part of the next release.
This is exactly why I avoid small developers like the plague.

You might be able to assume (or maybe not) that I didn't postpone development on purpose. I also need to code on stuff that allows me to earn money, to feed a wife and two kids.
Another point: The issue only affected VST3 x64 variants, that the software is "unusable" in its current form is just incorrect. Hundreds of happy users prove it.

Nils, I hope the response of some didn't put you off too much. People don't seem to appreciate that when you do something and put it out for free, that they're not automatically entitled to the developer's time above all else.Nils Schneider wrote: Sun Jun 19, 2022 3:32 pmThere you go:jamcat wrote: Sun Jun 19, 2022 11:11 am 7 months later and “the next release” is still not out? I understand that bugs can be annoying, and people may prefer certain formats or whatnot, but a little common courtesy and respect for the people who make great things and release it for free should be the norm, not the exception.
The user you quoted just doesn't know how to behave around others IMO (see the CLAP threads for more examples).
Nils, thanks for your contributions!

You are very welcome!
@jamcat On another note, to be able to release this build for Apple, too, I had to renew my Apple Developer Program for 99€. You can download the fix for free. Just saying.

Yes, but when confronted about the prevalence of VST3 bugs, they just blame developers for not knowing how to code VST3 properly, having never tried themselves.rasmusklump wrote: Sun Jun 19, 2022 3:46 pm Oh wonder, just the vst3 format that you defend like crazy....

Sorry, that doesn’t withstand even the slightest bit of scrutiny. The bug was in fact the developer’s fault, and he fixed it 7 months ago. And now he has released it. The fix came from Nils updating his code, not Steinberg updating VST3.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Sun Jun 19, 2022 3:53 pmYes, but when confronted about the prevalence of VST3 bugs, they just blame developers for not knowing how to code VST3 properly, having never tried themselves.rasmusklump wrote: Sun Jun 19, 2022 3:46 pm Oh wonder, just the vst3 format that you defend like crazy....

The latest release is just marvelous. Thank you.

Well, I already removed it from all of my projects. The update would have been really useful to me 6 months ago, had it been distributed then.melomood wrote: Sun Jun 19, 2022 11:25 pm If I were you,I'd ask for my money back and avoid small developers like the plague
I generally avoid small devs and particularly freeware now because this sort of thing seems to be par for the course. I got tired of getting burned, so lesson learned. I'm perfectly happy to pay for my software because I'm paying for long-term and timely support. I want to help developers be productive and reliable. I am glad that Nils finally made the update available, though. I just don't know why it took 7 months and me having to pointing that out for him to finally do it. So call me the bad guy, whatever. At least you finally get to use it.

There are many small developers who simply offer freeware out of
intrinsic motivation. And their stuff really is the best ever. Nils' Kawai
is a good example of this.
Cardinal software errors also occur with payware. Which are also not
fixed immediately, but only after a long period of user feedback, if at
all. In addition, you also struggle with an authorization system of
whatever kind, which initially works well, but after years - if you want to
install everything on a new computer - often only causes headaches.
That's why I would like to thank such developers as Nils, who, out of
idealism, produce such great instruments - with so much precision -
and make them available to everyone here. Thanks for that!
