I'm using waveform with opensuse linux and jack and getting a lot of Xruns and noticeable sound dropouts with version 12. Version 11 can play it flawlessly (without the experimental audio engine).

Thank you very much for trying. Yes i have audio when jack is not running. I honestly can't tell if it's pulse or pipewire - both are installed. Qjackctl stops pulse when running with pulseaudio -k.

I use it daily with ALSA, and sometimes with JACK.
So it would be useful to provide full info about your setup:
what audio system and parameters are set in WF and how audio is set in the OS

If you're on a laptop make sure you set the desktop power setting to performance mode.
Ryzen 5 8600G, 32GB DDR5, 4K, Ubuntu 26.04, Waveform Pro 13.5, Reaper 7, Ardour 9.

Good guess, but it´s a desktop pc, power setting is normaly not set to performance. Indeed cpupower frequency-set -g performance doesn´t prevent from dropouts or change anything detectable.unholyeyebrows wrote: Wed Jun 22, 2022 10:13 pm If you're on a laptop make sure you set the desktop power setting to performance mode.
