As far as I understand only the vst3 version had the bug. Other formats didn't. If you insist on using that flawed version, unless your daw can only use that (and in this case your complaints could really better go there) then it's your problem totally.... I usually make this kind of harsh rants on products I paid for, and to medium/big companies mostly. Doing it on free products in my opinion is totally over the top ..jamcat wrote: Mon Jun 20, 2022 1:53 amWell, I already removed it from all of my projects. The update would have been really useful to me 6 months ago, had it been distributed then.melomood wrote: Sun Jun 19, 2022 11:25 pm If I were you,I'd ask for my money back and avoid small developers like the plague
I generally avoid small devs and particularly freeware now because this sort of thing seems to be par for the course. I got tired of getting burned, so lesson learned. I'm perfectly happy to pay for my software because I'm paying for long-term and timely support. I want to help developers be productive and reliable. I am glad that Nils finally made the update available, though. I just don't know why it took 7 months and me having to pointing that out for him to finally do it. So call me the bad guy, whatever. At least you finally get to use it.![]()

So actually, the Apple Silicon native VST3 version on Mac didn't have the bug. So is it really VST3 to blame and not Intel?
I need cross-platform compatibility, so I needed the Windows version to work. And VST2 is a dead format. It's been over for a while. I won't commit a VST2 plugin to a song because I want it to still be able to open in 5 years. I can't tell you how many songs I had to rebuild over the years because of changes from DX to VST, 32-bit to 64-bit, Windows to Mac and back again. So if a plugin isn't VST3 on Windows and M1 Mac now, it gets dropped now. End of story.
I only "ranted" because Nils told us he fixed it last year, and then left us waiting for 7 months.

Thanks again, Nils. I'm so glad that I never had to finish my own K1 emulation project, because yours turned out so much better!

Lovely work, Nils. A very nifty emu.
Bit of a problem with v1.25's VST3 version:
I found that on a MacBook Pro M1/OS 12.4, the K1v v1.25 AU will run perfectly fine on Logic 10.7.4.
On Cubase 11 and 12, the VST3 is not recognized at all (either natively or under Rosetta...nor is it blacklisted) but, the VST2 version is seen by both C11 and 12 and works perfectly fine under Rosetta.
Additionally, Plogue's Bidule sees and runs all three versions perfectly fine.
I suspect something is throwing the VST3 version off of Cubase. I did find this when I ran Archichect24: Would that quarantine flag have anything to do with it?

"Flag value 0081 states that the application/file is executing for the first time. This attribute is responsible for the warning that appears when you first try to open an application, saying that the application is downloaded from the internet."
I don't have an idea why the VST3 doesn't appear but I have another user reporting the same issue, is there more information in this box if you scroll down?

Or the K5 emulation? It is one of the synths I once had in hardware, but never found an emulation for…

Quick question about the latest vst3 release. Not sure if it's Bitwig (4.2.5) or the plugin, but the vst3 version doesn't respond to CC 16,17. The vst2 version does. If this is as expected then all good. Thanks again for this fab vst.

Is this synth now Mac M1 ARM native? Has it always been? If so, that's absolutely AWESOME! This is an epic emulation!
