Many musicians develop musical elements such as chord progressions, motifs, riffs etc before they sit down to write a full song. Some also try out different variations until they settle on the final piece. In the meantime, there is the problem of where to store these elements while writing and still have easy access. The usual approach is to scroll past the end of the song and paste the elements there, but this is not always convenient, especially if the piece is long, and can be confusing because the material is not clearly separated from a growing song.
Suggestion: it would be great to have a 'scratch pad' area to the right of the track(s) that can be shown and hidden to store these snippets and variations ready for use. Such a 'quarantined' area at the end of each track would be able to use the instruments and plugins already on the track.
Thanks for considering,
DP

You can use the edit feature to store this in the file but in a protected space.
Additionally, I keep tracks like that in a folder within the main edit, muted so they don't interfere with the main project.

Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and even Deezer, whatever the hell Deezer is.
