Slow clap...clap...clap ... Can we now have a MSEG? A Chord-Lane? A Arranger-Lane?

Just wondering if I want to upgrade my license now.
Though kind of hyped by clap for a short time, actually I would like to see other features as well.
Maybe the Bitwig MSEG-Modulator can get as much attention? I promise to upgrade, when it arrives.

After playing a little with the CLAP Vital 1.5.1 beta and the Polyphonic LFOs (you can see them as MSEG if you will), I doubt it I still want a Polyphonic MSEG in BWS.
It's just overwhelming!

Sure Vital should be amazing, even more amazing than Surge XT Clap... but still as a Bitwig User I do care more to get rid of any need to have external plugin stuff. I would like to be able to go full Bitwig 100%.liquidsound wrote: Sun Jun 26, 2022 4:48 am After playing a little with the CLAP Vital 1.5.1 beta and the Polyphonic LFOs (you can see them as MSEG if you will), I doubt it I still want a Polyphonic MSEG in BWS.

And for me there's some kind of things I would like to see to make that happen. After playing with Surge XT in the OneSynthChallenge #159 I can say one thing: The modulation feature I used most was the MSEG in Surge XT. And no a traditional Modulator LFO in Bitwig is not a MSEG. I have tried that once to fiddle-twiddle with Bitwigs LFOs. What I could achive with a grown up MSEG in seconds took me agesof staring in a little display and tweaking nuances of LFO shape parameters and then I gave up and used something else.
It's really interesting how Bitwig commmunicates by the way. They never say anything about a roadmap, but regularly announce that it would be good to spend my money on summer sales.
And btw - If they thought it (CLAP) gives them a great deal of publicity and will generate new sales? I'm not sure it worked out after looking at google trends...comparing to cubase 12 and ableton live.

I use MSEG mostly in Dune 3 and Omni and, of course, I agree that in Bitwig MSEG are going to be very useful.
The “wow” for me was the polyphonic results of a complex shape applied “per voice”.
I played for about half hour because sometimes it just wouldn’t work (sometimes wasn’t going polyphonic at all the for some reason, bug?).
It’s a new sound design learning process doing it “per voice” and I’m not an expert at it.
Pads results are easier but much to learn for sure…
It will take sometime, but a feel very confident that CLAP will soon be demanded and turn into a wildfire catching up from grass to “old” Sequoia

There are some parameters in the u-he betas that are not working with per voice Bitwig modulators. Already on the bug fix list.liquidsound wrote: Sun Jun 26, 2022 3:05 pm I played for about half hour because sometimes it just wouldn’t work (sometimes wasn’t going polyphonic at all the for some reason, bug?).

Yeah, per voice sequencing is interesting. Depending on the timing of your notes, it completely changes the result.liquidsound wrote: Sun Jun 26, 2022 3:05 pm

Whenever you do decide to upgrade, there are various nice new tools to explore since you want to go 100% Bitwig. Delay+ is excellent! And useful to now have built-in Convolution reverb.
Polymer/Grid have a new Osc - Union and a new filter Low-Pass MG. Also the Sallen-Key filter was significantly updated.
Here is a quick audio example using the Union Osc and Sallen-Key filter. Just 1 Osc, into the Filter, and then a steps modulator on cutoff and input gain. No FX at all. I think it sounds quite good! (oh, and I look forward to whenever they do add an MSEG)

I was just thinking about “the Bitwig way” of doing things which could include, like Serum, modulating MSEG points into the CLAP equationpdxindy wrote: Sun Jun 26, 2022 3:22 pmYeah, per voice sequencing is interesting. This is the dawn of new sound design universe.

I don't see a compelling argument against MSEG in bitwig, but I've just gotten quick at using Gatekeeper as an MSEG. I realize it's not Polyphonic, but I also currently prefer just setting up a round robin on the instrument selector to worrying about which clap parameters are supported.

Maybe a CLAP version of a MSEG plugin like Gatekeeper would do the job?

The we need to encourage the devs to support CLAP. Without that support I rather wait than buy their products…
Just sent a request to Polyverse…

yeah I was amazed about that too, so weird, first they all shout NO MORE 3RD PARTY!, Bitwig can do all, the devs are god....] Peter:H [ wrote: Sun Jun 26, 2022 7:56 am but still as a Bitwig User I do care more to get rid of any need to have external plugin stuff. Reason users had the same attitude until…

Seriously, what are you talking about? Who has called you or anyone a troll for disliking the Bitwig upgrade plan? Why are you insulting people who want deeper, border, and more flexible modulation possibilities and applications? If you don’t like the upgrade plan, say your peace once and use another host. It’s that simple. And let people enjoy their life as they see fit.SpaceCadetOnLeave wrote: Mon Jun 27, 2022 10:02 amyeah I was amazed about that too, so weird, first they all shout NO MORE 3RD PARTY!, Bitwig can do all, the devs are god....] Peter:H [ wrote: Sun Jun 26, 2022 7:56 am but still as a Bitwig User I do care more to get rid of any need to have external plugin stuff.
