Deals deadlines - time zone?

Hi,

I found out early on today (June 24) that a library I was looking into was on the Deals list on KVR. It was listed as "until June 24," which is today. So technically I thought I should be able to purchase it today? However after looking everywhere I could not find it listed.

Normally if something ends on a day, it ends at the end of that day, no?

Could someone clarify - when KVR deals use the terms "until June 24" it actually means until June 23 at midnight?

And not until June 24th at midnight? I have not been able to find this information so far.

However I don't see a RED bar (you have a screenshot?).

For instance, if you look at the Heavyocity deal right now.

Ends: July 16, 2022
Started: June 15, 2022

However, as you see in this example, there is no time (hour, minutes, time zone). And so I need to clarify: does it actually means the sale ends on July 15th at midnight (and time zone would also be important).

Every time I see the end of a promotion somewhere, they usually include the whole day stated. If the 16th, then it's all day the 16th, until midnight that day, before it becomes the 17th.

If it starts as soon as the clock turns to the June 15 (which time zone?), and it ends right before the clock turns to the 16 (which time zone?), then I'd like to make sure. (IMHO, it's unusual, though, but at least if I know, I can work with it).

So as I'm trying to understand how KVR presents promotions start/ends, it would be important for me to know this so that I don't miss other sales I'm interested in.

How about Time Textures, then? Here is a red bar with info, which is what I assume you were referring to.



There is a date, but no hour, no time zone. How do you read this? The sale will end on July 5th at midnight? I'm in Canada, not sure where you are, but our time zones may differ, therefore it could end for one while being active for the other, etc.

How do we find an answer without having to ask every time?

So basically these deals will never indicate the time zone and will always imply that the end of the sale falls on the day before the date indicated.

The only way to know is to check within 24 hours of the day BEFORE the end of the sale date indicated.
