I have the Line6 FBV3 and do not have a clue how to set it up with Axiom. What is the best and easiest midi foot controller for this purpose ? Thanks

The FBV3 actually should actually work pretty. Here is a tutorial about how to setup MIDI to control Axiom that we have shot with The Guitar Channel that will hopefully help:
