silly conclusion to jump to. he recently released aaltoverb update with many new features. in its release he mentioned what's coming and how the GUI is a sign of things to come.

it's M1 apple silicon native.

he's developing with the apple studio btw.

Wondering about something is not a conclusion...

KVR is pretty toxic and aggressive.

Appreciate the update though

wondering... conclusion.. speculation.. whatever you want to call it.. it's silly to make such statements. it's gossip and it's pointless. it lacks logic. but..i guess we can all fill our time with whatever we want.

edit: it'd be less toxic if people didn't gossip about stupid bullshit for no actual reason other than.. what? i don't know. why do people thrive on stupid gossip about plug in developers?

You could have just pointed out that my wondering was wrong, which it turns out it was.

Instead you use it as an excuse to be rude and go on the attack (demonstrating exactly the toxicity of KVR). I think both of you are people who take pleasure in trying to hurt others. I have no interest in interacting with that, so onto ignore you go.

c'mon dude. i said it was silly. that's hardly an attack. calm down. i was speaking generally about gossip. if you took it personally that's not my problem.

maybe take 5 minutes to investigate the state of development of a developer instead of "wondering aloud" on a forum. it's pretty easy to access any kind of information on the internet via social media, youtube etc.

Let's hope that Madrona Labs is doing quite well. They have some incredible instruments and it's a cool guy who's gig it is.

Every new Sumu 'coming soon' posts feel like that since 2017:

well indeed it takes a long time, but randy rewrote the framework for his plugins, see aaltoverb. took more time than expected.

but M1 will come, how long? Sumu, perhaps a beta, in the coming months.

i am not waiting anymore (still want Sumu, great synth it will be), and you can always ask the developer himself about 'stuff', their is also a discord channel..

I have no reason to feel like Madrona is "done", but I do feel impatient sometimes, especially with one particularly damning Virta bug that keeps me from using it much. Just mentioned it in another thread yesterday. Randy knows about it, but is focused on Sumu for now. And indeed, I can't wait to try Sumu either.

I try to remind myself that 1: this impatience comes from really loving the tools Randy has developed and 2: I respect the fact that he's doing things in his time. Rushing things tends to result in bad products and burnt-out developers, obviously not what anyone wants.

I do wonder sometimes how Madrona Labs work is structured, and if there might not be more efficient ways of organizing things. But of course, that's really not up to me. Patience it is... ;)
