Currently parameter modulation / automation can only be done with separate automation clips on a automation lane. That is nice but you have to manually ensure that these automation data are in sync with the associated note events. This can be cumbersome at times.

It would be totally cool to be able to automate ANY parameter of the associated track (mixer parameters, instrument parameters, plugin parameters...) directly in the event editor!
There where you can automate controller data or velocity values I would also allow to define automation curves (or clips, see below) which have the same functionality than the ones you define on the automation tracks. So these are node based curves with all options and features as their automation lane counterparts.

Even more powerful: You allow automation clips in the event editor!! So when defining automation for a plugin parameter in the event editor you would be able to add multiple fully featured automation clips which are RELATIVE (time-wise) to the event clip. They will always be in sync with the notes of the clip when moving the parent event clip around.

Another great thing with having automation data inside of event clips is that when you create shared copies (pooled sequences) the automation data will change in ALL copies if you edit it!

This feature would not REPLACE automation clips on automation tracks but it would allow another form of automation that resides INSIDE of event clips (sequences).

So this would be amazing!

You suggestion would be great and is part of a bundle of MIDI automation tools I've been requesting for some time now. Hard to believe that Mulab has no automation 'paint-brush' type tool in 2022. This is the one feature which will keep me from upgrading to Mulab 9.
