That was the closest, but no. I bought some bundle of their sequencers and one of them allllllmost worked. They are cool sequencers regardless.

yes i checked more careffuly and it s too limited for tal drum.
Tal Drum need cc sequencing, probability, random stuff , different step loops per track , shuffle per track ect

Exactly my thoughts.
I do enjoy a couple of their plugins (HY-Filter especially is great), but not really useful for drum sequencing.

Loomer looks very intersting, but the price and complexity is a little off-putting. Maybe I need to give it a test.

It can run as a plugin and it's verry cpu efficient
You don't have to use the daw like features , you can just use it to load multiple vst inside architect for routing , layering etc , iow a vst host .
Before I had Plogue ops, 7 , I loaded two instances of dexed in Architect vst ,worked perfectly
You can use it as a verry advanced arpegiator , stepsequencer etc..and if you're willing enough there are 300+ low level modules to create everthing you want ( midi stuff) , but you don't have to
I even used it to amke an editor for my roland integra ,
It's one of those programs that come every 10 years , it's lightweight , it's gui is vector based , it's deep as you want it to be and it's totally awesome
Well worth the asking price

Does anyone know what the Lock button to the right of the Midi Learn button should do? When you switch kits, the CC controllers assigned to the different knobs are preserved even without activating this button.

It turns out the Midi Lock button is broken. When you switch kits/presets, assigned MIDI controllers are simply accumulated in memory instead of being reset per every kit. If some slider is assigned to CC 10 in one preset, and to CC 20 in another preset, then by switching these presets the same slider will react to both CC 10 and CC 20 at the same time. It's like a snowball effect.
