I still want to know where Absynth 5 falls short. The only thing some older synths need are GUI updates + OS compatibility and CPU optimizations.
It could benefit from better filters for a start...

A bigger GUI and editor would be welcome too...

I guess NI have their hands full right now to update their portfolio to VST3 and Apple Silicon. Apparently Kontakt 7 is in the works, too.

But I would really love to see Reaktor 7. Not only should it be AS native, but there is so much to be done to clean up the GUI. And builders have been begging for improvements to Core for a long time.

At the very least they should release something like Reaktor Blocks/Racks, imho — a streamlined, separate app for, well Blocks, without all that legacy (GUI) stuff that’s relevant mostly for builders. As of now, everything is so convoluted and unnecessarily complicated at first, it’s really off-putting for new users. Reaktor is still great, but a shot in the arm wouldn’t hurt.

and yeah, silicon ready please - everything, or at least the flagships and the effects. My last reason to use Intel - for one Synth, and five Effects (Raum, Bite, Freak, Replika, Driver). Everything else is ready, but those four... dear NI, i want a M2 MB Air, so pls...

More like October 4th, I guess. Otherwise anyone who bought K13 in that sale would get a free upgrade to K14 due to the usual month long grace period.

I think that expectations of some of you are waaay too high ;)
In best case scenario we will get one plugin with a major update number (not necessarily with major new features). More VST3 and M1/2 compatibility - quite possible but no way that their all catalogue will be updated.

The idea of including plugins from iZotope and PA sounds logical to me. The easiest way to add "new stuff" to Komplete without actually adding anything new + NI sample libraries and job's done.
I expect continuation of lackluster updates from NI and iZotope. Adding stuff from PA that is already old, adding features from plugin X to plugin Y and call it "new" etc.

That doesn't mean their plugins sounds worse, it's just I feel that their R&D capacities and market position was not fully put into use. Certainly no hate though, I'm really thankful for Komplete Kontrol.

Something is amiss with these colorful expansions... What is the extent you guys use them?
I hear you, I'm not sold on any of the ROMpler style instruments they put out, but there's obvious markets. I think it's mostly TV composers that love that stuff, they don't have time to make elaborate great sounding background patches, so NI is a decent start.

I would personally love to see KOMPLETE KONTROL get a major update...back to what Kore used to be!
I'm still bitter about Kore.

I'm hoping for Absynth 5, Reaktor, Battery, in some form updated. VST3n and Native Apple Silicon versions. It would be cool if Maschine got more than one time signature in it's Song arranger, but that's probably not happening.

Yes to this. Last time IIRC I bought an upgrade to the version I already had in the half price sale in September, and that worked as an upgrade to K14. It was the first time it happened, prior to this you had to wait 9 months for a half price upgrade. If the same thing happens this time, needless to say you don't get the benefit of real world user reports before you decide, but you will know precisely what is in it.

I meant announcement is possible on September 6th and release on October 4th. Just like how last time it was announced on September 1st and the release date was October 1st.

But of course, it could also be announced on October 4th and actually released on November 1st. :)

Never has been on the first November after release, it’s always the following June. That said, last time they did a pre-release half price sale for K13.

I was gazing at my crystal balls and this is what I saw...

Absynth X
Battery X
FM8 X
Kontakt X
Guitar Rig X
Massive One X
Massive XX
Reaktor X

And a free soundpack of your own choice as long as it has an X in it...

Seriously...I would be happy if all they did with K14 was to bring all of their synths and effects up to speed with bigger GUIs and better filters etc...

NI have some real gems in their catalog and they could all use a bit of fresh code to liven them up a little 🌞
No auto tune...

I'm still at k12, skipped k13 and now i would like to upgrade the newer version.

Apart from newer fx/synths i hope to see resizable gui's, cause it's a mess on bigger screens

I know it's a gag, but I sure hope not. Massive X has been a fiasco really - 5 years on is it now, and still not a quarter-decent browser, and it is sterile and cold to me (a subjective view I realise). I want the letter X banned from future NI products.

I was going through some of the products that will be in the bigger editions, and there is some really nice stuff for media work. But very little for anyone else.

That's correct. The sale will be on the full versions of products in November this year. Discounts could vary from traditional 50% off.
That said, last time they did a pre-release half price sale for K13.
Not quite sure what you mean by this.

Last time in September they did a 50% off sale for K12 upgrades when they announced K13, with a free update to K13 on release in October. Marvellously, this actually worked if you already owned K12 - so everyone got the half price upgrade sale in the pre-release period.
