Awesome, I can't wait to see how it appropriately spices up my sacbut, crumhorn, hurdy-gurdy, and vuvuzela tracks!Domenico KVR wrote: Tue Jan 26, 2021 5:54 pm Of what I can understand, the plug-in sets the reverb settings according to the instrument types being played.

Indeed, artificial stupidity seems to have made many tremendeous progress as well !

That would be some plugin who would change settings accorrding to people (producers/engineers) reactions to it's outcomeDomenico KVR wrote: Fri Jan 29, 2021 3:49 pmI wouldn't call it AI either. In fact, I spent like five minutes trying to think what an example of an AI plug-in could be and I still have no idea. It would be useless CPU resources, anyway, LOL.Inversion Of Control wrote: Wed Jan 27, 2021 8:00 amI wouldn't even that call AIDomenico KVR wrote: Tue Jan 26, 2021 5:54 pm This is what they refer to as artificial intelligence but the plug-in doesn't seem to adapt to the mix in real time.Plugins like TEOTE or Soothe are adpting to mix in the real time and it's still just mathematic algorithms, not AI

LOL. Sounds surrealistic, but it might happen someday. I was thinking about it... Would the DAW limit the plug-in from imputing video and audio from the computer's camera and microphone?Inversion Of Control wrote: Sun Jan 31, 2021 2:15 pm That would be some plugin who would change settings accorrding to people (producers/engineers) reactions to it's outcome :) can't really imagine implementation of that so far

The "AI" BS hype aside.....has anyone tried it and found it to be a decent REVERB??
If it sounds like dog doo what does it matter how "smart" it is?
I don't want a reverb with good taste.....I just want a reverb that tastes good!

I bought this plugin when it just got out (jan. 2021). It was a beta version. Well, it still is. They promised updates and all, but never got any. When I tried to cntact them, they didn't answer, and when complained on theire Facebookpage they blocked me. You would think that an "AI" could give something extra, but it doesn't. It's a reverb, and not even a very good one.

We’ll there are artistic software that does this based on genetic algorithms fed by feedback from the userInversion Of Control wrote: Sun Jan 31, 2021 2:15 pmThat would be some plugin who would change settings accorrding to people (producers/engineers) reactions to it's outcomeDomenico KVR wrote: Fri Jan 29, 2021 3:49 pmI wouldn't call it AI either. Not quite AI, but sick nonetheless.

sonible's smart:reverb is more what I'd expect an AI reverb to be - give it a source instrument/audio and it tailors itself slightly to the input. It always seems to sound very subtle unless you really abuse the settings though, perhaps that's a good tihng compared to how metallic and awful rivium sounds.

AI is so oversold. I always think of autocorrect for text - so many errors but not too bad on simple tasks. And autocorrect has way the largest training corpus, so that is as good as it gets for complex context sensitive problems. Where AI is good is for clearly defined problem domains with solutions that are effectively the result of pattern matching eg reading CT scans or generating possible solutions within a problem space eg counter-melodies
