I rarely use the amp models in Guitar Rig, but I will use it as an effects chain, either in front of the amp (as I would in real life), or occasionally, between an amp (with the cabinets off) and the cabinets only.LFO8 wrote: Sat Jun 18, 2022 10:32 am And then there is also Guitar Rig. Many people seem to glance over that as a multi purpose FX rack because of the amp sims. But it is so much more than that. I don't ever use it for guitar.

I passed on several deals in the past, but finally got it for €100 and I’m kicking myself a bit for not getting it sooner. The bread and butter fx are excellent, but their own takes on fx like the Intensity reverb or Fragments (I had that one already) are truly awesome.Igro wrote: Sat Jun 18, 2022 10:57 am I've never had their fx (appart from the free ones), but the offer is 100 Euro. Very regretting checking this thread.

I'd love the ability to do custom channel strips.SLiC wrote: Thu Jun 16, 2022 10:31 pm I’m in for 29 bucks…I do wish Arturia would make a ‘rack’ (like analog lab but for fx) so we could load and have presets for combined fx etc
The groove baby, the groove...

Hey there, I wanted to offer a small suggestion. I would love an option in the settings to make the backgrounds black.FrancoisB_Arturia wrote: Fri Jun 17, 2022 9:58 am Dear all,
I'm the product manager behind FX Collection. I'm really pleased to read all the good comments following the release of FX Collection3!
I hope you'll all enjoy the newest additions!![]()
If you have any question, feel free to ask ; I'll be happy to answer.
I understand the use of 3D interfaces, since they are recreations of old hardware after all. But the colorful "room" borders look funny against a dark-colored DAW. Like the Comp fet-76 for example-- I think it would look much better with a black background, or with no border at all (like Overloud, softube etc. where you just see the front panel)
Just my two cents. Other than that, the plugins sound great, and I especially love the Culture Vulture emulation. Nice and thick

Arturia has released a brand new distortion/saturation plugin "Dist COLDFIRE". https://www.arturia.com/products/softwa ... e/overview
Looks and sounds pretty good and interesting. Kinda like Output Thermal. GUI is gorgeous! I wonder is Arturia is making dark themes for their recent plugins with similar light-themed GUIs, because they had a survey few months ago in which they asked about it.
Retail price is $99, but FX Collection 3 owners get a pretty tempting offer of $29. Will be eventually added in FX Collection 4, but guess that might take time (next year).
FX Collection 3 is currently on sale for $299 and includes Dist COLDFIRE for free.

Just playing with Bus FORCE; very nice, almost great. But is it me or is the speed of having everything in one window offset by the fact that there's no simple way to match input and output signals?
Having parallel processing is cool in terms of ease of dialing in e.g. slightly more compression, slightly less saturation, etc., but every adjustment requires manually gain-matching again. I suppose with the filter and EQ modules an automatic matching might be a little artificial or produce weird results, but nonetheless the design seems hobbled without it.
It kinda makes me want to just put all modules on the saturation path for ease of level adjustment, but then there's no wet/dry control on the compressor... so that doesn't work well either.
One can reduce input level with linked output compensation for a global easing of compression and saturation, but that doesn't work very well with the compressor's threshold settings.

How does this compare to the Soundtoys bundle? I see that's on sale as well.

Different stuff. I love Soundtoys, but Arturia went berserk lately : most of the FX Collection is among the best plugins you can find. I'm not so fan of the preamps and filters (the first plugins they released), but the compressors are great, the mod fx are great, the reverbs are great, the saturation and bus plugins are great. Fragment is amazing !dj ray wrote: Wed Sep 07, 2022 10:17 pm How does this compare to the Soundtoys bundle? I see that's on sale as well.
The more they expanded the collection, the better the plugins became.
Their last ColdFire is amazing, even when considering a subtle use. IMHO, their Culture Tube is better than the Decapitator P & T modes and Sitral is better than Sie-Q.
For the rest it's different flavors.
Regarding Soundtoy, Devil-Loc and Crystallizer are difficult to replace, Microshift, Little Alter Boy and Tremolator are great, but if I were obliged to choose, I would choose Arturia right now...

I recently bought the bundle, loving it so far except for the Filters and Delays. It may be because I don't know how to use them properly but I can't get the sounds I want from them.
My favorites are the EQ Sitral, Coldfire, and Intensity reverb (Although it would be much nicer if we could see the decay time as seconds instead of 0-1000 value).
