That's great!
I sent you an email two months ago with three songs made in Mulab Free, no VSTs, no external samples, just pure Mulab, and I never had a reply. I sent you a link to my brand new Bandcamp page and the Bandcamp stats tell me the tracks have been sitting there with zero listens to this day. (I only have those three Mulab songs there, nothing else.) I double checked your email address in my "Sent" folder and the message didn't bounce. I assume you have been very busy working on Version 9, but in light of the circumstances I feel compelled to wonder whether you even got my email at all.
I'd rather tell you this in private, but it seems I can't PM you. Sorry about any inconvenience.

But i'm sorry but your entries were not selected as MuLab demo projects.

OK. But I find that a little confusing because there are three of them, they're very different in style and I think they are on the same quality level as most of the previously selected demos. I even made one with plenty of guitars because I noticed you don't have that. Perhaps you could be more specific about what you expect? What exactly makes a demo eligible? I am a composer and I can write anything.mutools wrote: Mon Jul 11, 2022 12:40 pm Yes.

The point of this contest is to have some demo tracks to be shipped with Mulab, right?

Btw I think this post should be pinned, after a while it goes down and can be easily forgotten, unless your inbox is filled with demo projects. But since Mulab comes with only 7 demo projects, I don't think that is the case.

The very goal is to showcase what can be done with MuLab and attract new users by awesome loops / (mini)songs that sound greathumanboeing wrote: Sun Aug 07, 2022 5:17 pm The point of this contest is to have some demo tracks to be shipped with Mulab, right?
Yes ideally included in the distributed zip package, although a download from MuTools.com is a good way too.

I'll evaluate that later, some aspects of this contest might need some update/finetuning first. Anyway, the quest certainly is still on, would love to include more MuLab demos.humanboeing wrote: Sun Aug 07, 2022 5:42 pm Btw I think this post should be pinned, after a while it goes down and can be easily forgotten, unless your inbox is filled with demo projects. For me, a demo project with a ZIP containing the stages it evolved through, along with a walk-through of how it was constructed - both as a video and a text document - would be the ultimate format and provide much needed guidancemutools wrote: Sun Aug 07, 2022 7:50 pmYes ideally included in the distributed zip package, although a download from MuTools.com is a good way too.

The easiest way to obtain awesome loops and samples for re-distribution with the software is to buy a license form creators and owners - there are plenty of them around, however, the cost may be higher than 79 Euro (equivalent of the prize in this contest).mutools wrote: Sun Aug 07, 2022 7:50 pm The very goal is to showcase what can be done with MuLab and attract new users by awesome loops / (mini)songs that sound great

Drag any drum sample loop to live matrix, choose "audio sequence" and you'll get an editable MuLab clip with all benefits of it's excellent time stretching algorithm;) The question is: where are the sample loops coming from? Drum loops can be created with MuLab i.e. by routing MIDI clips to MuDrum and rendering them as an audio, but we still need some raw samples to do that. We can also synthetize analog drums with provided instruments - no samples needed but it requires more work. MuLab is excellent and very unique, but there is no software on this planet that could make everybody happy, that's why we're also using other tools with it - which means not everything can be done with MuLab alone (at least for me;)mutools wrote: Sun Sep 04, 2022 6:54 pm I didn't mean sample loops, i meant MuLab loops by clips that can be edited.
P.S. I can provide you with acoustic drum kit I made using DR32MS (about 500 MB size), but I doubt anyone would be interested in it (MuLab seems to be more suitable for modern electronic production). Also, without multithreading support (plugin) it would fry your CPUs;)

I'm trying to make some rock & roll here. Acoustic drums are welcomerobert_p wrote: Sun Sep 04, 2022 8:30 pm P.S.
