Seeing the same here as well... sigh...
Windows 10 and too many plugins

When a company presents a change relating to a "Rubicon ", it makes me consider selling off everything that doesn't carry over.
Maybe Pigments does everything I need/want from them and it's time to shed the whole "nostalgia" thing?

It won't do the organs, solina, DX7, synclavier, keyboards and a few others. I'm not a fan of most of their analog modeling but there are many other instruments that have their own purpose regardless of nostalgia.

Yeah, I get that. However, as much as I like both versions, and feel the newer CS and VS are substantially worth it... I personally only really need and use Pigments. So all this tread mill purchasing really makes me focus on whether it's necessary. I think my mind is in minimalising mode. So while not the first to eliminate, it's now on the list.
There are others from other companies that improved themselves with more that ultimately made me open them less also...

the CS-80 V4 with MPE, wow; a small, first showcase. now it has it's full potential;

One thing that maybe doesnt get mentioned enough.. In a lot of cases, Arturia has been remaining true to the original vintage synths they emulate.. at the patch level. Big deal? Well.. In the case of the Synclavier.. it meant (and still does), that Cameron was able to share original patches. He posted links here, and the FB site is still maintained. Hundreds of patches.. freely available. DX-7? Thousands.. because the Arturia emulation is code compatible. SQ-80? Dude.. there are thousands of free patches out there. Anyway - Worth a mention (again). Patch compatibility is a fricken gift, for the vintage instruments...

I didn't realize that the intro price was ending on June 5th and I missed out on upgrading from V8 to V9. The upgrade is now $299 for me. How long does it usually take for Arturia to put the upgrades on sale? I'd be willing to pay $199.

The next upgrade sale would probably be in September now.

If anyone still wants v8 I saw it for $399 on a couple sites.

€349 upgrade from V7? Excessive.

I wondered if any of you guys have this issue with the Prophet-5 V.

In the Advanced panel, if you select one of the last two waveform selections for LFO2, it won't display either of those. Only the dot that follows the waveform's shape is in that box when I select either of them. The other waveforms appear normally. I reported it today to their support, but was just checking here to see if anyone else ran into that issue. It's not a huge deal as it still works, but I just can't see the waveform there.

I just see it like these instruments make the sounds that I want for my music. The music I like uses a lot of these synths, among other instruments.

When a composer writes a score with strings, brass, and woodwinds, no one accuses him of “nostalgia” for the 1780s.
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

I just tried the CS-80 V4, it sounds completely different compared to the old version, powerful and dynamic, amazing improvement.
