It should only happe if you have narrator on, but there’s an option in the workflow menu to turn it off even if you do.

I am a retard, I misread July 15th as June 15th, so I thought the release was ovedue. :dog:

Thanks and sorry about that.
Yeah we don’t really do deadlines as much as loose aims. We will slip past july 15 for sure because clap has been more popular than any of us thought. And I’m gonna take a vacation without a laptop :)

Soon though. Soon! And that also means bug reports at this stage are super useful.

I think he means he's carrying a full tower PC directly... :)

Or he does start coding on his mobile…
I bet he pays a lot for that digital detox, the new trend in the wellness holiday market… I hope he’ll come back without being a member of “Coderholics Anonymous”… ; - )

Ha no it’s just more we have a lot planned. I will have an iPad of course but won’t be coding

Taking coding breaks is often when I’m most productive though. I have an idea bubbling in my head and maybe 2 weeks where I can’t write code will cement it

I'm taking a vacation without a lawnmower...yes, the life of a preset consumer
only has a few perks, but still, they are good ones. Send pics!

Another user rediscovering Surge after getting out the box for a few years it was delightful to rediscover it at v1.8 I think and now XT .... superb work . Many thanks to all involved and congrats as well .

Future mutations ?
So now that Vital is open source too any thoughts on cannibalizing the Wavetable modifiers and Frankensteining them into Surge ? Sheppard tone and it’s wave window modifiers would be pretty interesting additions to Surge XT .
Anyway cheers and thanks again for this fine monster synth .

WT engines between both are solidly different, so I'm in principle against such Frankensteinization (cool new word).

Yes, thank you! I disable speaking in menu, when updated to last version.

do I see right, that the envelopes are always starting at zero?
I tried to get some moog'ish behaviour by setting the env type to Analog and poly mode to MONO-ST without success.

Comparision with synth1 (legato mode). Non-overlapping note change:

Hi.

The next version of surge (nightly later today; 1.1 later this summer) will allow you to pick either behavior. Just RMB on play mode in one of the mono modes and you can choose from-zero or from-current for envelope restart.

Thanks for the report. This picture has been in our GitHub issue tracker forever and the other day, when explaining why it was hard to do this in surge, i realized it was no longer hard, so we added it!

What up with all the forced default paths on install

C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Surge Synth Team\Surge XT.vst3\Contents\x86_64-win

Cmon devs, change that

C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Surge Synth Team\Surge XT.vst3\Contents\x86_64-win

There are too many folders - it could be
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Surge XT\x86_64-win

instead? I don't know, I'm not a programmer.

That’s the vst3 spec
