Yes-- it's all in the upper right hand corner of your screen. Instrument or effect, it's all a "filter"-- so just drag the filter to the filter area to the right of your track.

Hi. I just bought Tracktion and tried to freeze a track. The project is a 1-track edit that has the RealGuitar VST Plugin, and I have a MIDI clip with five simple chords. When I play it, it sounds great. But if I freeze the track and then play the frozen track, the chords sound very different!

I even made a couple of MP3s of this, if it'll help. Is there a trick for making freeze work correctly?

Thanks!

Luis

I've been staring at the audio devices screen under settings for about five minutes, looking for how to turn off real time priority. Has it been removed from the newest version of Tracktion?

I should add, I don;t think the OSX version has an RTP mode.

God, I know I'm going to get insulted or something for such a dumb question, but I have to ask.

How do I get sound to play? I looked in the tutorial, what they said works doesn't =\

Also, concerning rewire. How does that work? Does it mean you can use Reason's sequencer but have soundbanks that only something like Traktion can play or what?

In what context?

Can you play the demos?

rewire allows you to use rewire slave applications (reason, fruity, and a few others) like they are plugins inside Tracktion.

The demos are silent as well except for the occasional clipping noise.

PC.

Soundcard I'm not sure, I know it's fairly new, Soundblaster Live....5.1 maybe? I think that's it.

Coming from a tracker background, the single most annoying feature about Tracktion for me is it's lack of pattern sequencing. Oh sure, there is the stepchild vst, but this is very limited and is not integrated into the main program. Does anyone know of any other software or any method that would simulate a pattern sequencing environment in Tracktion :)

Cheers :)

Fruity Loops.

What's wrong with StepChild though?

Hello,
I'm tring demo version 1.6.0.1 on G4/400MHz and OSX 10.3.6.
I have M-Audio Delta 1010 PCI-X.
Audio I/O works fine (I tested simultaneous 2in/8out).
But MIDI output to external synth does not work well.
Even when single MIDI track plays (without audio track, filter and soft synth),
notes are out of timing (like broken machine).
Especially when display changes or hard disk access.
I tested other MIDI application and no probelm.
Is it a problem of the Tracktion? Or should I still suspect other part
(OS or M-Audio driver)?

Regards.

not a mac user, but certainly on the PC side, those things would suggest a slight config issue somewhere - I use MIDI in T all the time.

I can't imagine the mac version is that different.
